220 checkmate convincor -reviews??

Hydromotive makes good props. Yea, if you have a 1.36 ratio that would explain things. How far are you from their factory? They will tune you in at a local lake for free. No trial ship and wait then. The trimmed diameter would be good for the sbc.

I am in upstate NY--way too far.. They were real nice and helpful on the phone. They def make great props and will consider having one made up.
That answers my quest as to why it only has a 19P.. Wish I had the 1.50 so I could have more prop options like a Bravo ect..

RGP111 the 22 P is turning 4500 rpm and the speed is 62 is that a true gps speed? I hit 60 on GPS 19p 4900 rpm will not let me hit 5000 starts to lose speed. If u get that 22 worked and turn 4800 that will run awesome!!!! I ran mine in some good chop performed well no addtl speed.. I think I want a 4 blade for better cruise speed and handling.

It was the gps on my phone. it has been pretty dead on in other boats and my vehicles. I saw 61 pretty solid, went 62 for a few seconds before I backed down some. I was closer to about 4650rpm when that happened. I was pushing her pretty hard. I think with 4800-4900 mine would be awesome. problem is this year again I'm suffering from 4 foot itis. I've been checking out the convincor 260 and its very tempting. but then I go out with big block boats and my little fuel sipper surprises me.

Ok thanks for the info . That is a good speed with that 22p. The 260 is a nice step up will ride much nicer for sure. My 24 outlaw def rode better than. This 22 but all in all if does well for the size and I agree they are not bad at all on fuel. I used prob $50 the other day and drove around quite a bit with mult top end runs so I am happy . We def have diff gear ratio that is why I can't run that 22p 4 blade would need a smaller diam 19p

I have a BRAVO 1 also-The gear ratio may be taking a MPH or 2 off of mine I am thinking? I was at sea level in 6" chop 4 people and 3/4 tank hit 64 on speedo not too shabby for a boat this size

Oh yeah and with four people. I normally only have myself and one other on the boat. It's great how well these boats handle at those speeds as well. My boat doesn't have the porposing problem that a few of my other buddy's with checkmates do. Mines rock solid. But anything over 2 foot chop and it's pretty useless. Being on the bay I see that quite often.

I totally agree great boat for what it is. I was on the river with under 1 ft chop and it is outstanding --on the larger lakes can handle 2' not too much issue bigger and u need to slow up trim down a bit and stand in the bolsters. I had a 21 scarab and this is way better than that in the rough but not as good as my 24 Outlaw... I think that 260 is perfect for what U do...one day when u r ready to upgrade until then enjoy the 22 and what it offers in ease to tow and fuel usage because they are pretty damn good on gas.....for a boat...

nothing new here either, its still been rock solid all season. haven't made any changes as of yet. still very undecided on my boat plans.

Same here-Was a great season!! The boat ran flawless and now I am looking at winterization and storage -Hope to get one or 2 more runs in before. I did do a radar run event and it hit 61 and 62 which is not bad. I would love to try a 4 blade but dont want to lose any speed. RGP I got an email from Bblades no shipping for prop work this month may be a good time to lab that 22P....

I may try and hustle up a 24P somewhere here in town before I put it away. I would love to see what it will do with a light load.

I just found out my fuel gauge is off. I have been running near a full tank all season.

yup got that email as well. I've got boat plans thru the end of september and into october a little. this is the only prop i have right now. it will be being shipped to them soon as i bring it home for the winter.

Illmatic-My friend has the same boat also with a 454 non mag mpi-he ran 64-65 on radar but he has stainless marine exhaust-I think he was running a 23P mirage prop if i am not mistaken.

RGP-I hear ya enjoy the rest of the season-hard to believe it is almost over. I recall Bblades running winter deals also that may be worth waiting a bit for if you miss the free ship program.

I have the Hi-Tek stainless headers with an Edelbrock intake. The PO said he noticed an increase in speed from the headers. Hard to say since I am running a stock carb.

Yes, I did see your boat. I did check it out. I see was sitting on the upper part in lawn chairs behind my car over looking the docks. I did talk to a guy there who used to do truck tires where I worked ( I'm now Retired ).
