Ok being new to this whole boating thing, i have a list of questions i am looking for some advice on. Opinions wanted!!

Pull up cleats leak when washing, any way to get them sealed better, remove and silicone?

LED trim tab indicator only one side working, haven't looked, might just be a loose connection?

Bravo out drive, doesn't have the fins where you would put a set of muffs to run, how do i run her on land. 7.4 mpi with bravo (not mag). Only has two hole on front of drive?

Where do people store there bimini top on these convicors, wont fit in engine compartment and down want it just sitting out all the time.. do they sell fold up ones that would fit in the engine compartment?

Best way to remove factory muffler to make her a lil louder, silent choice, non-selectable..

Thats all the rambling for oneday!!

There is supposed to be "buckets" under them that catch water and with a little hose drain it into the bilge. Check to see if buckets were installed and if so that the drains are clean.

How did the owner before do it? I would think he would have giving you the muff. Sucks it an expensive muff!
Have you looked for a hook up in the motor compartment for a hose?

It was an estate sale, so got what came with it. Might have been in the garage but didn't come with the boat.

Where would the water connection be on the engine,i have looked, but nothing jumping out at me, it would make sense though..

Yeah the front one does, but the two side ones by the window, i dont see an access pannel for them any where, so can't really see whats under them. Just know they drip on the seats through the ceiling.

Which isn't a big deal, cause she's not getting left out side all the time, but for the next 3 weeks she will be out side till i can get her back up to the cottage

The bobs flush kit is for a nose cone. If lower unit is stock you need the orange flush attachment from Mercury. Part number 843122T01. List price $122.22

look in the engine compartment for a fresh water flush setup it would be a panel with a female hose end and a shutoff valve if you dont have one you could always t into the in hose before the raw water pump and put a hose fitting there ask ross he had to do that if you have silent choice you have to pull the motor to get all of that stuff off there is a u pipe that the diverters run down to that would need to be removed

find your circulation pump, should be front starboard side around the bottom of the motor. you will see a inch and a quarter hose going from there to the front of your drive right at the transom.....pull the hose clamp off right at the transome and make yourself an adapter to hook a garden hose up right there. when i did mine a made a valve so i could controll the water from inside the boat. i will try and post a pic once i get home from work to show you what i did:thumb:

the left end is where you would hook up the garden hose, the right end is a female fitting that allows the 1.25" hose to go over. and of course the valve in the middle so i can turn the water to the motor on and off from inside the motor compartment. this way i know the motor is getting plenty of water before i touch the key, the water will be pushed through the circulation pump and the motor and will come out the exhaust before i start the motor. i know that some set-ups will do the same with muffs but mine would not so i had to go this route, hope this helps.

Awesome THANKS ROSS..

I'll be doing something just like that that for sure.. Then i know for sure that we are getting good water into both..

Got a picture of where you tap it in? I am sure I can figure it out, but just was curious..

Thanks

home for lunch right now, after work i will try and get a pic for ya;) glad i could help

Made my lil hook up... following your design, looks like it will work great.

Now i traced the 1.25 inch line back to the transom, but the hose is burried under steering control an other crap.. Is this the line you are talking about??

Yeah just tried to get it off, Just to undo the hose clamp and get it back on took 15 minutes of being crammed in the engine compartment, at 230, its a tight fit..

Got to be an easier way, looks like i'll be looking for the right muffs or some sort of hose connection.. i'll have to see whats out there. Has anyone just cut that same hose right in the middle and put a T in with a shut off? that would make life simple..

that is the right connection, it should be a 5/16 nut driver that takes it off and back on. i can do mine in around 5 minutes off and back on if needed. you can always buy the right muff for your lower but mine doesnt have the same lower as yours so thats my only option:sssh: plus i like the fact that i know when i have cooling going to a 10k plus motor in my boat:thumb:

Couldn't i just put a brass T in the middle of that line with a shut off valve? Or do you think it would restrict incoming water flow?

Thanks again for the help..

i supose its posible but for what it takes me to do mine i wouldnt worry about it. i only run my boat outa the water a few times a year, its just as easy for me to run it to the launch:thumb:
