First off this is my first boat alnog with first boat restoration....or 1/2 restoration since I won't be repainting her. I picked this predictor a few days ago 5 mins from my house with the trailer, a parts engine, and a box of parts for $200. From what I've seen looking around it appears to be original except for the front seats. Now for what says 1000 words.

The floors from the seat posts forward feel solid, but they will be replaces along with the stringer. Ill be taking pics of other predictors from this site and using them as models. The transom looks and feels solid but I will see once dig out the float boxes. If I'm going to do it I might as well do it right.

Cool boat, love the blue flake! In that 4th pic you have the most important restoration tool in hand....

Thanks! That's my father in the pic. We look alike except I'm 20 years younger. I took that and sent it to my mother as in a persuasive way for my father to getback into boating. For the blue flake the gold is the same or even bigger flakes. She definitely will shine and sparkle on the water after a good buff job.

You can use composite material for the floor and stringers. I'm not familiar with pvc type material, but I would think you could have a bonding issue with glass and resin. Just keep in mind the composite costs more than quality exterior plywood or douglas fir.

Do you think if I used 36 grit on a grinder it would create enough bite for bonding?

Finally all the wet wood and foam is out. I'm going to leave the rest of the floor till I get all the materials to complete the job. Thankfully the transom is not rotted. Ill give that a protective coat while I have it all open.
