" For Sale" 88 Exciter

Good luck with the sale! It's a great package, WAY too nice for me to take a sawz-all to the deck to make a bow-rider...:sssh:

ND,

I have the same cabinets (Craftsman) and heater (Mr. Heater) in my garage...

Great minds think alike I guess. lol:thumb:

:offtopic:

Good luck with the sale.

Question

Has your 88 Exciter been repainted? I have an 87 Exciter and it has stripes on the bow plus the entire boat is metalflake.

Topside has been painted by a previous owner.

I remember a really good looking Exciter for sale up that way a while ago. Black and red- did you buy it?

okay i am interested I think in everything but the motor.... how big a motor can go on this boat anyone know ... what is it rated for... i have an evenrude 235 ready to go.

Its rated for 185hp... my 3.0L 225ho weighs 450lbs, which is fairly light for a 3.0L- but its perfectly fine with it, imo.... your insurance company might think otherwise, though. I have insurance thru progressive for it and they know the size of the motor thats currently on it.

Some of the extras that go with it:
2 service manuals (one is omc factory)
New waterpump kit
Extra engine harness- complete
Side behind-panel mount throttle
Used hotfoot for omc
Some gauges, including a systa check gauge, water pressure, and extra smart tach.
Merc flo-torq prop kit- so you can run merc props on the omc
I'm sure a few things I'm forgetting.

Props to choose from top:
27P renegade (one blad has nic)
25P renegade worked by DAH (has nics on blades from use, works great)
25p renegade (looks new)

I'm going to get some Checkmate stickers for the sides of the 21.... stick em on for the rally and you guys will never know:poke:

I'll list a couple of options and prices:
$5750 for complete boat and no props- because if you're like me, you have a few laying around
$6000 for complete boat and 1prop (your choice)
$6200 for 2 props (your choice)
$6400 for the boat and all 4 props:thumb:

Whats wrong with these pictures?

The new owner is a great guy and a member on the board... so far a silent member, but I have a feeling that will change with the purchase.

Its his first boat, so he's off to a hell of a start! I'll let him introduce himself and talk about the boat some. I think it will make a great boat for him and his wife. I also told him that I expect to see it at the rally this summer!:poke::D
