A 283 project just getting started

Fletch is great at taking picture. :poke:Posting them online isn't his strong suit.

Hahaha Dave is right. I can send them and post them all over facebook but after 3 yrs here I still cant do it. I guess loading them and creating a photobucket is where I get lost. I have over 1200 pics and vids on my I phone floating around in cyberspace lol.

And your picture posting grunt is failing hard at it right now... I still have a bunch of Rally pics on my phone to get posted that I keep forgetting to do when I am at home! :brickwall:

But take the pics and send them to me anyway! Even if it takes me 2 weeks to post them at least I will get to enjoy and drool over them!!!

I need to send them to you email instead of texting lol.

I thank everyone for all the help over the years and the guys that pm and want to give me a hand. Chris and the mods have really done a great job keeping a genuine group of enthusiasts united here. So many great friends I have met on this forum is unbelievable really.

I just fixed the pick up tube situation and about to put a 28 Bravo on the old girl and take her for a spin or 2 after my wife gets home in a couple hours. It should be entertaining at the dock this evening launching our new to us longer boat in some pretty gusty winds. I cant wait haha!!!!!

We made it to the lake around 6:30 tonight and had a blast running the boat around 25 miles or so. The lake was very choppy and the winds were gusting over 20mph so the Convincor was in heaven. My wife even drove for a while and is hooked . It ran flawlessly and was easily spinning the 28 bravo to 5300 rpm. I have no idea what speed I was running at that point but i will get some solid numbers tomorrow. I have some prop testing to do as the 28 4 blade felt like it was breaking loose under acceleration and will be looking at that more closely. I was running at one point 63 @ 41-4200 rpm. Planning to spend all day tomorrow at the lake and possibly run up to Saginaw river Sunday to run with Gimme and the gang . :thumb::banana::banana:

Loving this boat . We hit the lake again today about 11 for another very nice and gusty day . Ran it about another 40 miles or so with no issues. So many Bajas running hard around there we had alot of fun playing with them. The only time I clocked the boat was early on with 100 gallons fuel, 4 peeps and 2 coolers full we spanked one of the Bajas 76gps@5000rpm in 2-3s so my slip is not as bad as I was thinking it was. I am going to try the 26 Mach next trip out tomorrow if the rain will hold out ,otherwise it will be during our Camping trip later in the week .Pics and vids .to come

Wow you work quick Helmich . In love my friends !! Thank you Nathan for the kind words and thanks you Helmich. I also want to thank Sct for the craigslist thread in which I found this hull, Ron (Gimme Fuel) for talking me into the 600sc . He said buy it even to just stare at in the garage at that price lol. and Bill (check253) for all his knowledge and making sure I bought a Convincor only lol. Thanks Bill for the great advise and friendship ! Viper 1 for everything you do !! The guys here are the greatest and the trip to LC this year boatless was great knowing Dave, Corey and Barry had my back !! I owe all you great people dearly !! Jason and Harold Kunkel are the most amazing , personable , caring and extremely talented shop that I would not hesitate to take another boat for that 4 hr trip from my home! They are the type of guys that put a smile on your face every time you hit that key !!

My son sent me this pic this morning Helmich lol. We sent the girls after some pizza and cheese bread just a city block up the street from these docks in a little sleepy town called Columbiaville ,at the north end of the lake. I think all lakes should be required to have a nice store like this haha. The coolers will always be full of goodies. Thanks for surprising me with the pics !!
