A 283 project just getting started

Awesome pics and a great story. Plugging your numbers into the prop slip calculator puts you at 80 mph figuring for 15% slip.

Will your boat make it under the bridge that splits Holloway in half.

I just had my 253 out there today! My first run on a fresh rebuild.

Thanks Hadley. Glad to hear you hit the lake and wish we would have been out there. I can get under the bridge at Mt. Morris rd that you are talking about with a couple ft to spare. We will be there this Wens- Sun at the campground if you get a chance to make it out. 810-875-8483 anytime .

Thanks Ron (paparazzi) for the pics . Even though I spent most of the day looking at the back of your boat lol( sounds insane by the way ). We had a great time !! Cant wait to do it again !!

Its been a great summer but I finally winterized the old girl last night. We have upper 20's temps coming in this weekend wit 5" snow possible. I am actually getting excited to throw a nice rooster on the snowmobile and burn some amsoil !! A little clip while winterizing the 283 .

Winterizing is a sad day Jeff.. I was really hoping to get up to your area before winter got here and spend an afternoon on the water with you and Ron but the schedules just never worked out.. And now its cold! :brickwall:

Boat looks great out on the Saginaw River, hard to hear how it sounds over Ron's noisy lifters, back fires, and rods knocking. The Saginaw River and Bay are the most under used water in the state.
