checkmate auction

Here is a link to another auction listing.

http://www.auctionzip.com/cgi-bin/auctionview.cgi?lid=927500&kwd=&zip=44820&category=0

If that doesn't work just go to www.auctionzip.com and enter 44820 for the zipcode search. The auction can be found on August 31. There is a link in the listing with lots of pictures, many of the interior.

Also listed, lots of old Crown Vics, lightbars, and other stuff the county seems to collect.

I think I'm going to go, just to see it.

So whats the deal with the boat Coop did Checkmate give that thing a new hull

It's a little under powered but that could be a nice cheap 33' Mate for someone if it is bought right.....

Boat went for 33,800. Guy that I graduated with bought it for is step dad, said he planned on giving it a buff and putting it on the internet for 50,000. It had some stress cracks under the swim platform and a fairly good sized crack on the bottom. The one on the bottom I couldn't tell if it was in the gel coat, but there was a crack. Checkmate did rehull it at some point.

I could have swore it was only 33,700. sschifer, you and I probably saw each other. And what a crock of crap on those cruisers, absentee bids of $750.

Your right, it was 33,700 he was asking for 33,800. My bad. Yeah I think it was danners that offered 750.00 for scrap. The crack was on the chine, thats what I meant when I said bottom. Probably just in the gel. Did you see the crack Cooperider, was that just in the gel?

it looks so small for a 33 but i bet it would be easy to work on with the whole bench raising like that

33.8K doesn't seem to bad for that boat but no way will the guy resell it for even close to 50K.

I really cant stand a twin v8 Checkmate I think money should be subtracted for having 2 engines. Its a waste of money for the size of boat
