Checkmate Family Reunion! Spring 2014

Ok! Hotel has been booked! We will be staying at the C Westin Hotel in central Cincinatti. It is a 4 star hotel but the rate for that night is $86 plus taxes. If you are interested in staying the night there, pm me or lcboater for the deatils on how to get that rate.

I was thinking of heading downtown, partying and taking a cab home. At that price I may scrape together my lunch monies and book a room.

Or just pull an allniter and save the cash lol. Is the reunion more a Sat. Nite party or Fri nite. We are driving to Dallas this weekend and would like to kick off the trip with a nice hangover . We will drive down Sat morn and stay Sat nite . Ron can you get the hotel to kick up the heat a little so we can wear our summer lake attire? :cheers:

I wont know till Thursday or Friday if I will be able to make it at this point. Work is trying to take up all of my weekends... Im going to be lucky if I can make my trip to CT this weekend without using a vacation day!!

Will the special hotel rate still be good on last min rooms?

Not sure exactly on the rate at the last minute. We booked with Hotwire to get that rate. It is kind of a screwy system they have. Let us know as soon as you can and we will try to add another room to our reservation. Otherwise it is $153 a night normally.
 
Between this thread and the people checking in on Facebook it looks like a good Mafia meeting is unfolding. Good times and cold beers will be here soon. :cheers:
 
You guys have fun. Nicole and I sure would have been there if not for all the snow and our kids spring break getting moved up a week for Florida trip. They normally get 2 weeks and they had to go the 1st week for snow make up days.
 
We are still on the fence on if i will have to work or not saturday. I wish they would make up there minds soon!!
 
I wish I had better news but I have to cancel my trip and reservation to this bash. My cousin Vic , my best friend/snowmobiling and hunting buddy has came to his final day on life support and is going to help others this morning live through his ultimate donation of life. We never were able to get a snowmobile trip in this year as his heart just was not strong enough. Sorry for the bad news this morning but just wanted you all to know why I had to pull out of this awsome party Ron has planned . It is also looking like my boating trip to Texas will also be put on hold to my cousins due to this being the loss of his older brother. See all you great people on Lake Cumberland have a few for me !!! :)
