If I was replacing a complete interior on a boat that was still worth $10-15,000 or more. I would feel OK with a $3-4,000 cost to bolt it in. But some of these boats are only selling for $4-7,000, how can you justify $3500 for an interior. The rest of the boat better be perfect already or you better not care if you are going to get any money out at the end.
I spent $1500 locally for a complete bow rider interior 2 years ago. I took the old panels and seats out, striped them down and replaced any rotton wood. They took the old skins and matched them and attached them to the seats with new foam and also to the new and old panels with new foam, so I was bolting in only, no fussing trying to ge the skins onto the seat bases or panels. For an old boat worth $5-7,000 that was about as high as I wanted to go.
I know it costs the same to make an interior whether for a newer boat or an older one, but really a bunch of potential customers will be out at $3000
