Coop's diggin' up the oldies but the goodies. :)

Maybe he's looking for some ideas, so that he can put those moulds he's got to good use. :thumb:

They call it, Necroposting. lol

Yep, getting some motivation from the images. What would really get me smiling would be to find pics of the ones we did in metalflake. I know they are out there.

Which models Coop?

I don't recall too many 90's 'Mates with too much flake but you certainly would know better than me....remember when we first started up the community and Kip mentioned it was still possible to do flake and a few members then added 'Flake accents stripes etc. when they were ordering new boats?

Kip's comments started a whole new wave of 'Flake 'Mates. :thumb:

Just looking for Pulse's.

Yeah, Flake was falling out of favor back then. But I know that the Pulse's still had some great looking all over flake jobs.

The first Pulse 211 that went to Kunkle's Marine was a beautiful Royal Blue flake boat with Silver Flake trim. But I know we did more than just that one.

I always really liked the 'Flake fades the best that were done on the older boats.

Our old neighbours red and black flake boat was stunning. It faded from almost solid red to almost solid black. I think it had some silver mixed in as well.

Stunning boat! :thumb:

Oh yeah, the classic sunburst, and the mist and fog boats. Yes, I just posted a thread in Play to win called. Show me the Metalflake. It should be satisfiying.

I've always had a damp spot for anything(boat,car,sled....) in black and red.Not the orangy red,but the dark red. That boat is gorgeous.
My first car back in the early 70's was a deep red 68 Charger with a blk interior and blk vynal roof.Blacked out tail lite area and black grill.

Me too, I restored a 69 olds 442, Crimson red, black stripes, black vynil top black interior. That was about 20 years ago, It had mildly modded 455ci, 4:56 rear end gears it would melt the tires when I stomped it at 15 mph!I miss that car...
