I just dragged this one home. The motor wasn't winterized and appears to have a cracked block. The guy was fed up with Craigslist losers and offered it to me for $1500. I went to see it and apparenty he thought I wasn't too thrilled with it. My brother asked if he could do any better than $1500 (which I wasn't gonna do) and he said to give him a grand and it was mine. Thanks SCT for putting these up for all of us to enjoy and for helping me land this one.

Extremely rare but possible. Supposed to trim them all the way down for a bit for the water to run out. If it was last ran trimmed way up and shut off and forgotten?

He said it was left tilted all the way up and never drained out after the last use. I know nothing about outboards but I thought you had to stand them up straight to drain them. It runs rough and exhaust smoke is pouring out from behind the starter. Either way I'm happy with it for a grand. I have a 200 Black Max that's been hanging around for a few years so I will probably be putting it to use.

Guy here left his OMC powered toon in the lake last winter. Frozen in the ice for 3 months, saw him driving it with the same motah yesterday. If you're a paranoid nut like I am you can use a hose and funnel to dump some RV antifreeze I'm through the pickups like I do. Still infinitely easier than a raw water car motah.

Will do. I have it at my shop. It has a big hole in the side of the block. Water and exhaust come out of the hole. Looks like ice damage, the cracks expand outward. I'm still thrilled with it and like iIImatic says, I should be able to sell some 2.5 parts.

I asked Coop if he knew anything about the dive boat. Either there is another boat company called Checkmate or Checkmate did the glass work on the boat as subwork or BS.

Yeah, it doesn't have any pink on it either. The trailer seems to be screaming for help. I must also disdainfully add that there is a conspicuous lack of transom tie downs ( TTD'S ) ( Hence the term, 'Nice TT'S, which can sometimes cause misunderstandings at the local boat ramp. A quick explanation of the term will usually put out any fires.) Although, the weight of the hull might just keep the vessel in 'check' with the trailer and quite probably the trailer pinned to the Earth, perhaps tie downs might not be necessary in this case?. There can't be any way that Checkmate put those thru hull exhausts on the side of the hull instead of the back. This 'Six Pack' confusion may have come from the actual consumption of PBR, Labats, Molson, or even Ice House, that was needed to transfer the vessel to the trailer. I'm guessing that they didn't use a Suzuki Samurai at the ramp.

Here it is. It's gonna need a sand and buff and there is a small soft spot in the floor by the storage compartment between the front seats. I can't wait to tear into it!
