fantasy f16 help

Hello checkmate enthusiast. I'm currently redoing my fantasy f16 and I was wondering what setup you guys recommend. I'm going to be using the boat offshore. I'm looking for stock reliable bt get the most speed out of it. I'm been thinking about using a stock yamaha 90hp 2 stroke. I'd like to see speeds of 65 mph. The hull is rated for a 70hp.

Do you think the hull can handle the weight of a 150? You don't think with the right prop 65 on a 90 is out the question?

Wildman had one with a 225 hanging off running 80s.
Yellowfiero had one with a 150 running 60s.
If you search (wildman playmate) you'll see the posts I'm referring to.

I only see pics of a 60 merc on it how does it sit in the water with it could I still raft up with other without having waves break over the back and potentially Sink it?

They where both built just for ****s and giggles. They both ended up with small motors in the end. The owners would be able to tell you more about them but I believe they where in lakes where they should be. Its a small 16' boat that can't handle much of any chop.

I would look for a 20" mid , 70hp . use a hydraulic micro jackplate . Once on plane raise the motor to have the center line of the prop shaft 1 1/2" below the pad . Add a pair of cylinder loaded trim tabs (I forget the name of the company , not hydraulic pump type) 50lbs cylinders . Place the top mounting location 1" above the recommended placement . Mount the battery as far forward as possible (though I run a 4 1/2lbs battery in the rear). Whale Tale on the outboard . Seal the top shell to the hull from the rear hatch all the way around the stern with silicon from the inside . I even packed 35#s of sand in the nose of the bow , corners like a crotch rocket . Slides like a drifter . Drive like you stole it handling . 3 blade Cleaver : 19 , 20 pitch get in low 50's , real world expectations . Be mindful of how much weight you add over all . Keep it light to get the hull high on the pad to air it out . 18gal "ish" tank in the bow comfortably just in front of your feet . A three foot swell will put you off shore racing high in the air , scary as hell . I did it once (not on purpose) ; thankfully on re-entry it didn't bow hook or plow under too deeply . Remember the F-16's were not as well built as the original Playmate's were .

Some inspiration for you. 13ft Vyper, same boat as the Fantasy F13, different company. This is my cousin Greg running it to Kelleys Island on Lake Erie.
