Good Day

She's pretty thirsty. I wouldn't mind trying a smaller carb, currently running a 850. I do know a 650 is too small that's already been attempted. I can hear a whistle when the secondarys open and my wallet gets lighter.

Now that you southern ohio river runners all have deep v's, I'll make the suggestion that you all make a road trip up to Ohio's north shore to enjoy the the islands of Lake Erie. You might even be able to talk a few mid Michigan Deep v boys to come down too.
Nobody said " you have to try and run as fast as you can if the lake gets large. I was out there in 5-8 footers between Put-inbay and Sandusky Bay in the starflite, just took it slow and made the 15 miles in 2 hours.
Anyways Kelly's island is just as fun as Put in Bay now days anyway and you never lose sight of land either way.
Like I said, Its only a suggestion, and maybe in a year or two I could jion you's in the deep v crowd. Merc245

Oh yea, quick story. The day I got cought in the big water. I was leaving Put in Bay Sunday morning, going around the south side of the island, I realized I need another nap. So found a cove to pull in and drop anchor for an hour or so.

Is there any Dirty Jobs and Mike Rowe fans here? Anyways on one of his shows he was on Put in Bay hunting lake erie water snakes and he was looking them in the excact cove I dropped achor in. Seeing the show I reconized the rubber sheets that was left on the beach and I did see a snake or two go by as I tried to catch 40 winks on the bow in late morning. Then I got up and about 2 pm swung around the southside of the island into a that mess and in that 2 hrs back to sandusky the only other boat I saw was a 63' seaway pounding its way home. Like I said "Its all fun" Merc245

p.s. They blonde scientist he was working with was doll too!

Not sure when but that trip is on our to do list. I've been to put in bay but not to kellys. The wife has been to kellys and thats one of the first things she said we needed to do when I brought this home. From what I understand this boat spent it's life in that are.
