Hey there,

Doesn't seem to be too many in Southern VA. I've been trying to get a contact list together to try to organize some events....

hey I'm here!!!! I haven't checked out the site in quite awhile. I didn't even now there was this side of the forum. in the summer I boat with 2 other guys with checkmates almost every weekend. we are always looking for somewhere new to go.

Virginia/North Carolina Checkmates

Hey fellas,

Let's get a contact list together so we can hook up and run the Checkmates when the weather breaks.

I'm in Yorktown, VA
The boat is "Off-Meds" a 2000 Checkmate Persuader 235
Email is: Safetynut@yahoo.com

I typically run fresh water 95% of the time. Favorite spots are Kerr Lake/Buggs Island Lake, Nottoway River, Chickahominy River, etc...

If we can get a group together or put some dates on a calendar (and it's within 3-4 hours of my place - I'm there!

See you on the water.:cheers

hey you eastern shore people!

there is 5-6 other mates here close to me, and ive told them about the website, and tried to get them to log in, but i guess they are scared of the bay. oh well, keep your butts over there on seaside, cause im only 2 minutes from the ramp, and im gonna find ya this year.

you wait red

ive been gone, but obviously you aint forgot. friends, the captain is busy busting his butt trying to make everybody else happy, warm, and comfortable. mine is coming, and through all the stress and pain, im always preparing for the only thing that gives me sanity. ill be back, with a vengence. get ready red, your in. youv already qualified for shotgun in either one of the 5 smilemakers. ill bring the coin... see ya soon.

about time you showed up. im printing you an application for our damned fools club, cause if your on chinco, you qualify for the president hahaha. man, im 2 min from queen sound ramp. we know each other. im the smilemakers, fool. welcolm aboard, and you get a free ride in my tunnel, during small craft advisory, side to it, in the trough, down at guilford creek.

hey kowboy

where you at? your the first local ive seen. you need to come on over here to the bay and learn to fly. ive been trying to get the other checks over there to check out this killer place to fly boats in the winter while sitting in your house. now that spring is here, all those guys will burn the fogger out their motors, and go sit at little beach. my gas is fresh from last month, and muddy creek is calling. wait till you see the baby tunnel with a 200 handgrenade on it, and then find out your the driver. im going tomorrow, sun. im glad you are here, and maybe ill have somebody who will ride in my tunnel with me now. i can launch it at queen sound bridge, depending on conditions, and i love to cruise out the inlet and watch the dolfins swim. last summer a porpoise intentionally tore the low water intake hose off my gearcase and there went the second handgrenade of the summer. youll have to go fish watching with me some time, and we can watch those bird watchers holding up traffic on the causeway. wait till you see the dolphins.haha:cheers

HAY CAPTAIN

By the looks of the pic you posted your raft looks like its sinking. You might need to clean out the beer cans and booze bottles brother. Hide tide ain't lookin good for you when your spittin water out of your mouth. Buckle up high wind advisory headed your way. Might be time to try that new tunnel out.

Hi,
I live in South Jersey an I run the Delaware River, C & D Canal to the bay, and also in the Chester river in Maryland. I also have a friend with a Mate that lives in Delaware and runs his mate in the same areas. We will be together the last week end of June running the Chester River in Maryland. Come and join us if possible. That is a great boating river and we always have alot of fun, skis, tubes etc.

I'm near Richmond (Colonial Heights) and usually put in around Hopewell on the James River when testing our Enforcer... still having detonation problems on the new rebuilt engine so she is not performance ready. Hopefully by the end of summer I can get it right - I am working with a local small shop but have nothing but problems with him actually working on it, have to find a better source. Going to try electronic ignition next. Still working on the MX16, transom is in and stringers built but not glassed in. Dont get to check in often any more will try to more often.
