should be on the side of the upper part of the drive. A gear ratio number and a serial number.

It's a carb 350. The ratio I found on my out drive is 1.47. Mine is a dog getting on plane.

Bought the boat about one month ago. Haven't had too much time in it yet. I have a Mercury 2.5 litre xri 200 hp. Have a jack plate but don't have enough experience or knowledge of these things to be able to comment on it.

With four adults in the boat, full tank, ran 90km/h on the GPS at 5,000 rpm. Once hit 95 km/h while alone. (95 km/h is about 55 mph)

Great boat. Had 7 on board today and one on a tube and was still able to power around...

This is with a Mach 32 pitch 4 blade prop. Not the fastest or the quickest but in choppy ass water its the best all around high pitch prop I own. Runs like its glued to the water.

What gear ratio is your out drive? And how many rpm are you turning?

Not sure what the ratio is. Is there a way to figure that out? And the tach has to be off, installed a new Teleflex gauge package as only a few were working. Tach seems like it works fine but at wot its a 7000 rpm

You've probably got the tach set to 6 cylinder. Usually V8 Alphas are 1.50:1 ratio.
