HOW FAST IS YOUR CHECKMATE? EVERYONE!

I think your best bet is to start a thread about the engine work and as Dave said try OSO for a shorter lower. I know they run those things pretty deep and I wouldn't be surprised if it helped on a boat that runs in the 60's.

2000 zt330 stock twin 454mags efi 24p 4 blade stainless props. 74 mph on gps. 385 hp each, going to do some exhaust work ( headers) k&n air flame arresters & reprograming the ecu this winter, should get low 400s hp. cant wait, pulled it out of the water Saturday & winterized it yesterday,

21' Pulsar 250XS

Was told to put a 23 prop on it to stop the chinning. Now I only get 66mph out of it. Have a jack plate set back 6" and have the engine mounted as high as I can get it. Want more speed but don't want to flip this baby trying. I am told I should be getting at least 75mph out this engine/boat. 2009 Pulsar B/R with 2006 factory rebuild optimax 88 hours. Can anyone help with this?

Current setup with not even close to being tuned properly and not at all broken in 200 Mercury and 1.87 lower spinning a 25 pitch Laser II . No jackplate sitting way too low on 2nd hole down . 71 MPH GPS at 6100. Installing jackplate over the winter along with hydraulic steering. Shooting for comfortable mid 70's and 80 MPH top speed.

Is that a 90hp opti? Or a 300? On a 16ft boat? Or a 26 ft? Something tells me we need to know....

21 ld

I run an 2002 pulsare 21 ld with an 98 225 opti, stock lower "upper 3 holes plugged",5.5 cmc manual jack, 4 inches below,15 lb 10 inch sub in tip of bow ,2 amps, group 31 and 27 batteries in port side and oil in starboard side! Half tank fuel,30 quart cooler filled, best is 72.9 at 5800 on phone gps running a dah cut 26 trophy! tried choppers of all cuts and no good! I want to add a 8 inch static setback to it for sure and maybe a hydraulic lift but dont know if its worth the money!

62mph GPS before backing off with scary chine walking.... 2009 Pulsare 1600br, 2013 Opti Pro XS 115hp. 5" manual jack plate, Laser II 26p prop.

80 MPH GPS at 6400 RPM with a 26 pitch bone stock chopper.

Looks like the new powerhead is doing what I thought it would :)

Guess that block worked well with the porting.

Seems so. Good to see it pushing another 'mate.

Ive got a 225 Pro Max injection set to install. We'll see how it runs with that. Almost a shame though. It runs pretty good with the WMV carbs.

That was bumping into the 7200 rev limiter. Probably go faster with more prop. I think I'm good at this point :)

I'm running about 155 lbs compression with that motor. I like to mix 92 octane with 25% AVGAS to yield 95 octane. Its cheap enough but hard to get as the local airport is locked up to non plane owners. I have a friend who is a pilot and I asked him to pick me up 20 gallons of AVGAS which probably would last me most of the season. He asked what I wanted it in and told him gas cans would be fine. He asked if he could just get it in a drum and said that was OK. Apparently to him that meant a 55 gallon drum...full. So I spent the better part of Saturday afternoon siphoning fuel into gas cans to get enough fuel out of that drum to be able to get it out of the back of my truck.
