I was attempting to edit the post with the picture in order to add the information I listed below. Obviously, my attempt failed. So I will have to give the information here instead.

'99 259, 454 magnum, Gil exhaust, Imco full hydraulic steering, MSD-6M ignition, Teague Flame arrester, adjustable fuel regulator, 24" Bravo 1 ( stock ), but looking to go with a 26" Bravo Labbed for next season, H.P. Bravo 1 drive. I have seen 74 M.P.H. speedo, 68 M.P.H. on G.P.S.

I love the Checkmate Emblem on the side of that boat? What year is that. Also, that almost looks like the same boat that Chris posted pics of with the football sheet because of the red checkered pattern and the trailer looks identical? Any similiarities...(I CAN'T SPELL ANYMORE, LOL)

Checkmates may not be the fastest boats on the water, but they are the nicest looking!

I take it you don't like the Packers either?

Thanks Chris for getting the picture up. The boat is a 2000 242 (260 now) with a stock 502. It runs in the low to mid 70s. I keep the boat down at Lake Cumberland Ky.

Yeah, you all do know that all your boats are beautiful, but there are always the exceptional few with the awesome awesome boats and we all know. I feel sorry for the older Checkmates...

Z,
I just got rid of an "older" Checkmate that I thought was a beautiful boat. I got more compliments on that little thing everywhere I took it. I put a lot of miles on that trailer hauling the boat around to have the most fun possible

I can bet that. When I see some of the older Mates, I love the way they look too. If you probably ask most people, they will probably mostly like the newer graphics but there is nothing wrong with the old ones... I agree, it was a beautiful boat!

I do not know if Checkmate has done this on purpose, or just because they are a small company, but I like the face that they have not fallin prey the they jelly bean affect and kept many of their boats with hard lines. That is actually a herder, more expensive way to build mold and hulls which is probably why so many other companies have put eggs on the water. It is cheaper.

True... I like the way Checkmate makes the boats. Continue with the good work...
