Checkmates may not be the fastest boats on the water, but they are the nicest looking!

Nice pics you guys. I like the action shot, too. I took my Ambassador out yesterday for the first time and had a blast. I was running it with the 21P prop. It also came with a 22, but I don't think it's enough. I'll probably get another one soon. Any recommendations? 24?

Adios-

1986 Ambassador 350 (+.040, balanced, cam, intake, mild porting) ~300HP. Time to buy a GPS!

What ever you run for a prop, be easy on that dive so you do not grenade her. That is alot of h.p. for and older alpha.

It depends on your RPM's at Wide open throttle.Should be about 4800. Unless the engine is "built" for more. Certainly it doesn't hurt to try something else but I'll bet that 22 prop is best for that boat.

Thanks for posting my pics, I'm really glad you decided to keep the site alive. I really enjoy it.

The Enchanter runs great with the 200, I'M running 72 on GPS with a stock PRO V.

great boats, I'm new to this site, check out my webpage and just click on the
boat page at the top. Last winter I restored a '73 mx-15 that I purchased for 700 bucks and have had a great time using it this summer. Its a wild little boat, takes a beating in the rough water but when it is calm I can get 50 mph on GPS. I plan on changing the seats and doing some tweaking to the boat to get it to go faster and rider bettter. http://supergenius74.kicks-ass.net

hobbies this expensive and addictive should be illeagle

Great work on the boat, look good. I had the samething on my tri-mate, bad transom, floor and every other thing made of wood.

Also you could pick up a bunch of speed by installing a jackplate and stainless steel prop, something with good bow lift.
