Michigan Mate Events?

june 13th I'll be going over to Amherstburg, Canada (by boat) to play in the annual fire/police volleyball tourney. Then june 14th I'll be on the Detroit river watching the RedBull Air Races.
But Memorial Day weekend I might find myself upto the Sagnasty River on Sunday/Monday. to try to catch up some of you all.

Ok so Memorial weekend May 23rd-25th I will be in Saginaw for the river and the Bay. I am sure TheNerd along with others will be out as well.

July 4th weekend I wil be in Saginaw as well. Same deal river, bay and Sanford.

These are the the dates I am 100% on. Everything else is up in the air.

I will be on the Sagnasty for the 3rd and 4th but I dunno about Memorial yet...all depends on if the new motor is alive and kicking...I usually got to Silver Lake sand dunes for that one.

I seen the event on tv and I was surprised on how close they allowed boats to anchor on the southside. The boats were allowed apx. 300 yds from the course.Couldn't really see the northside of the course.
The river is a rough place to anchor.I'll properly run up the river and check things out.If its not to bad I'll try to anchor and stay awhile.

I wonder the polatics behind the switch! Jeff

Yeah, many an anchor lost trying to set in the river. I'll prolly do the same. I know why the Canooks took it over--they had the 3.5 million dollars in coffers to host it. All that D money that's been headed over the border for years.

came up the river last year and set up on the south side without too much of a problem, lil rough ride and trying to anchor with a ton of other boats but man what a view...it was awesome. we launched somewhere where southfield road ends, my buddy knew the place

You have ecorse boat ramp about 1/4 mile south of southfield.Small and rough to put in.Than U have wyandotte ramp about 3/4 mile south of southfield(behind the speedboat bar & grill). Its a larger ramp with more controlling sea wall.A nice ramp for the area.I advise wyandotte every time!
