My Pulsare (under construction!)

All

Here are some pics that KIP snapped of my boat as it undergoes its construction!

Dave in Fargo should be picking up soon! I can't wait!

One of the pics has a close up of the flake in the black and red stripes...

Looking good . That was nice of Kip to take the pics. It's cool to have pics to look back on.to have them from the start is awsum !! Cant say enough about the Checkmate folks.

I am going on faith on the metal flake, Dave and a couple of others say it looks awesome. When people say metal flake, I have visions of 70's bass boats.

We are going to power it with a 225 3.0L EFI with 10" of setback. Really wanted a 300X but couldn't justify the additional cost...

The black and red metalflake stripes DO look awesome, Ive seen a couple of them that Dave has sold, and they looked great on a white boat

.

I am going to try to make a run for Dave in mid june, maybe yours will be the one.

I am hoping that mine is before Mid-June. Dave said that he would be picking up this week possibly! So I could actually have it in a couple of weeks!

Randy is going to do it. We ordered it without any holes in the transom. That way we can use the Eddie Marine hose kit/bezel and Randy is going to use the through bulkhead fittings for the hydraulic steering so the only hole in the transom will be the 2" hole for the hose kit.

Randy was also going to bang out a prop for me as well - a modified Laser.

You'll be happy you had Randy rig it, he does a real nice job, and he knows how to set them up to fly!!

Yeah I talked with Randy on the phone and he definately knows his stuff.

We talked about the Tempest prop and he said it would give 1 or 2 mph more on top end than the reworked Laser but he said that he put the reworked laser on several boats that Dave had him rig last year and it was an awesome all around prop - good hole short, good acceleration and only lost 1 or 2 mph on top.

Since this is my family boat for now

I don't think I will be seeing many top end runs anyhow...mostly pulling skiers and tubing.

rscoggins, even with the 225 efi you should exceed 70 mph with your setup; though you may need to put the bow cover and center windshield in place to get there!

I also like the flake. The flake on my black pulsare is called silvermist. It looks like stars sparkling in night sky..really cool. Congrats on your purchase, I'm sure your anxious to get it!!!!

I am hoping for mid-70's with me a splash of fuel...

If not, then I will be shaving the heads and adding an SVS intake after the engine warranty expires!

This boat is in lieu of an STV EURO - my wife talked me out of the STV and into the Checkmate we have kids - she said that the STV was like going to the grocery store and trying to buy a months worth of groceries with two kids in tow - pretty impractical. The STV is impractical but will top 100 mph easily...

Kip just sent more pics:

Stacy, My driver leaves wednesday A.m. drops off a used 2100 in Madison Wi. heads to the factory and picks up your new pulsare. just off the phone with Bruce at Checkmate, The WEAPON will be ready thursday.

HERE'S A GOOD QUESTION FOR KIP OR MIKE. IN THE PICTURE OF THE HULL(PICTURE #1), LOOKING FROM THE STERN TO THE BOW, THERE IS A HOLLOW SPACE IN THE CENTER (BETWEEN WHERE THE SEATS WOULD BE) NOT COVERED BY PLYWOOD YET. I KNOW THE SECTIONS OF THE HULL UNDER THE SEAT PEDESTALS ARE FOAM FILLED, BUT WHY NOT INTALL A SKI OR STORAGE LOCKER IN THE CENTER VOID?? I CAN ALSO (WHEN I'M STANDING IN MY BOAT) FEEL THE CENTER SECTION OF THE FLOOR FLEX A LITTLE BETWEEN THE SEATS?? IS THAT NORMAL???
