New 21 Pulsare setup! 93-94 mph!

Last time I heard, the "Simonized" powerhead was $8995 exchange. That's alot of money for 1 mph and taking the weight out of the boat! I guarantee that it will use more than double the gas too. At 4000 rpm, a stock 300x gets 3 mpg on a 21 Checkmate. The 300xs gets 6 mpg at the same rpm with the same prop.

Congrats WILDMAN on your speed, very impressive, but I would like to clarify a couple of things when I said stripped of all unneeded things i meant the stereo equipment easily 150# worth of uneeded weight as well as extra gear and anchors just had the bare minimum for what the law requires. As for your hundred dollar bet I will take it if you want to meet half way between Nevada and Florida and we can weight the boats to make sure they are close in weight I run with a 2100BR/300xs every weekend out here in the west and beat it every time and yes that does include beating it to the gas station LOL I havent had to push this motor and setup frankly because i havent had to and it seems nowdays its harder than ever to get off the beach with out one of the kids climbing in and it is also a 3.5 hour drive to Sacramento to run this thing at sea level where it can make some power
Oh I forgot I paid 5400 to have mine rebuilt after a sticky piston back in 06

94.73 :)

That is impressive Randy. 94.73 is getting closer to that triple digit mark that we all want to seen a 2100 hit. The best and lightest V bottom 21ft. boats are not much furhter ahead with a "Stock 300xs". many claim speeds well over 100 but the proof comes from mutiple runs and dual GPS readings to confirm

Keeps up the good work and research on how to get more top speed from these 2100's

The challenge has been laid down :bigthumb:

Too far to drive, and I got nothing to prove except that good speeds are there with the right setup. I really think I may see upper 90's in a week or two. You saw how quickly it ran over 94 in the video! It's not like it was straining to get there.
I just got this new matching 21 in this week. It will be getting EXACTLY the same setup as the yellow one. It's already sold to a customer in Long Island, NY. I started riging it today.

I here you on the driving but heck i have to drive an hour of interstate at 80mph just run in our so called local lake keep up the good work Randy and if you ever change your mind just PM me always up for a little competition oh and by the way if that blue 24brx was a LD it would be all mine love that color combo and beutifull rigging job

Check ya later

PS
Just a thought but maybe you could send your setup to the guy that has the smae boat as me but with the 300xs then I could race your setup and you wouldnt have to drive all that way. After all he did by the boat from you in 07 so that should count for something just a thought

The new trailers I get have stainless round fenders and swing away toungues which make the trailer almost 3ft shorter.

would love for you to order me one but I need to concentrate on my 2800 and dont have the extra money for another boat right now but maybe you could PM me some pricing on a pair of 300XS motors for my big boat. and again congrats on finding a great setup for these 2100s should help sell more of them

sweet it should be one great looking and running boat when you are done, be sure to post up some pics when its finished

Randy...awesome video and performance. Love your posts and experience. But I gotta ask...not poking here, just for us who want to live in your world some days and live to tell about it. Why when speed testing a new boat at these speeds would you not be wearing any safety equipment (PFD, Helmet, etc)? I know you've been faster than these speeds in the Liberators - but what if something broke? I've seen boats blow over...I was holdin' my breath.

Not wanting to start something...really...just curious.

Sweet vids! Looks like fun....

Need to run it in 6-8'' of chop and get a little air under it! Suprising the 28 and 30 hit the limiter at the same speed. Maybe the 21 Pulsare hull is "limited" to the ~95 mph due to drag coefficient/design? You and Bravo1 are both @ that mph and he probably has a bit more HP, proving your theory that it doesn't matter if the motor is modded or not.... unless you add significant HP the hull might be maxed out.
