Not With A Bang But A Whimper

Would seem how this season ends... as it began..

Gonna try to get a few more in before it ends.
Never really started. Never officially over... can go for several more crappy weeks before an official closing is called for.
Glad that Mr.Determination and knarloid made it out today.
We shall discuss further. As opposed to boating.
Although I'll be out tomorrow. Just for spite. Gotta get at least one more in.

That kinda how my season went. The unexpected boat change cost a couple of weeks in the beginning, then we got bad weather here seemingly every weekend (wettest summer here in quite some time.) The times it didn't rain I had things previously scheduled. I did manage to get the new Enchanter pretty well sorted mechanically, and know what needs to be done over the winter.

Any standing water on the roads here from last nights rain was frozen this morning, finally blew out my sprinklers today and got the quad ready for plow season, bring on the snow, at least this winter I don't have to drive in it all day.

Wow , I don't cherish the thoughts of that, but it won't be long and the weather will be following suit way down here in the "South". Jim

Yeah, that's rough. But on the brighter side.....I'll bet you don't get a lot of alligators.

It's those dam Crockagators that you really have to worry about.
These "Crockagators" you speak of..... Would you say there are more of them in Cape May, NJ or upstate NY.?
And , more importantly.... are you considerate enough to provide them floss?
Cause if you're in Florida you get to float year round. But you better be wearing floss. You Floridian Bastards!
Not that I'm jealous, mind you.

No humidity 84 so me and the boy went boogie boarding after dinner tonight. Ocean's still pretty warm.

Well, things turned around here a bit weather wise, and I just came back from a good outing today. It was in the mid-80's, not so humid and less boat traffic meant a smooth ride on the Pamlico Sound.

looked to take my son to pick a pumpkin and apples. Come to find out those things don't grow down here so we bought a pumpkin and went to the beach and watched bikinis walk by on a nice 85 day.
