SCT's monster

if i could find 2 of those for my tunnel, i could cut the boat trip down to less than 3 minutes, and increase the speech loss, knee knocking and whiskey consumpsion down to less than 2 shots, and probably end up in rehab from the adrenalin overdose. theres nothing like going out on an all day boat ride costing 150$ in feul, all in less than 10 minutes. i love that feeling of just getting off the boat 2hours after after im home. it takes me 20 minutes now, and an hour before my friends can say thanks, lets do it again. im ready for that adrenalin overdose, and its worth every cent. ill drink to that, and then ill drink to my drinking to that.:cheers

SCT, This guy sounds like he is from around here...... I can't say what beer he is drinking but it sounds like his 8th...........

EagleNova- I saw 85 (gps speedo) w/ stock 28' Bravo 1s today but I'm still working on engine heigth and props. The boat is running better then I predicted (80-82) at the beginning of the project. I think high 80s is not out of the question w/ a good pair of Merc choppers and more dial in time.

Boat safe-

ill drink to that

I want to give the guys at Kunkels Marine a pat on the back for the great rig job on my new boat. They (Harold/Jason Kunkel and Frank the Tank) do a first rate work. If you want to hop up your Mate, these are the guys to talk to.... I also want to thank Kip and all the guys/ gals at Cmate!!!

Coop- I'm going broke w/ twin Mercs.....I can't imagine a 3rd! I should have tried to buy "Trips to Win".....

Claupie- The boat is a 30' Convincor (28') w/ dual 2005 Mercury 300X motors, w/ 20" of setback and sportmaster gearcases.

Brother CmFan- Thanks for the post.

Anyone want to predict a topend speed (GPS) w/ 2 people and 1/2 tank of gas??

SCT

LIFE COULD BE WORSE, YOU COULD BE DRIVING A BAJA....
and then ill drink to my drinking to my drinking to my drinking to that, and maybe thats why my pants were wet the other day. glad nobody was with me for ride 2. thought i needed a blood transfusion to stop the adrenalin overdose. my 23 sangar tunnel turned into an airplane, and luckily neither pin rattled out of the hand grenades. 45 seconds later, i was ready to leave the wife and move to a gas station haha. 10 minutes/ 100$fuel, and some guy said i should charge for rides, because it was better than busch gardens, and that i gave it the right name, smilemaker. what a way to end seeing tool in concert night before in richmond, and im satisfied now that my knees are shaking again. felt tunnel flight for the first time. ive got her right. thats how i relieve the stress, by creating some. back to the check now, cause ive reached fill, untill someone else wants to be president.:thumb:

SOUNDS INSANE. DID YOU GPS IT YET? ANY IDEA HOW FAST YOU WERE GOING? MAN I WOULD LOVE A RIDE IN THAT MONSTER!!! GOOD LUCK WITH IT.

Here is a pass at at 84 (GPS speedo) w/ bone stock 28' Bravo 1s. We later saw 85 mph. I still think 88-90 is possible w/ more set-up and Merc choppers.

bet that thing will get the knees shaking

i might take the hand grenades off my tunnel and mount them on my 21 check enchanter, with a piece of bolt rod up through the bow tip, and we'll race, and see if i can hold another term as president of our "damned fools club". offshore race this weekend in my back yard, ocean city md. im sanding gearcases now. your boat is my dream, so congratulations. bet your president of your club.

big money

you guys spend lots for that kind of rigging. us foolish rednecks up this creek have to call the "wacky welders" johnson bros. my bar that joins my twins broke when 1 trim stuck and the cost was unbelievable. so i went to the john deer tractor store and found 1 for 22$. that helped me get a whole 10 minute ride for the low cost OF 100$, and it left me enough to get a bottle of the capt morg, and i should have wore a diaper, cause i was pissing adrenaline. nobody will ride with me anymore. their scared of tunnels. i love my pontoon boat, yet ill never sell my 85 check cause its priceless. rednecks aint just got plank bottom skiffs no more...hahahahaha

CaptianM, I'm going to have to drive over to VA and go boating w/ you!! Just let me do the driving.

best crabcake ever

CaptianM, I'm going to have to drive over to VA and go boating w/ you!! Just let me do the driving.
flew my tunnel to tangeir today to get a crabcake and after the 14 mile 8 minute flight, my 2 friends couldnt eat. we pulled up to the dock where tourist unload and some people offered me 200$ fo a ride back instead of the 1.5 hour tour boat. i said no because i was there to fix air con, and i new that i could get a pound of crabmeat for what they just paid for a sandwich. 30 years ago i went there in my 13' plank bottom skiff with 3hp 2cyl johnson, now im flying just like those airplanes landing them tourist, and having the most fun of my life. my friends say the ride is better than busch gardens best coaster, and i should charge admission. i dont care. watching my friends feet shake, knees knock, and beer shake out of their hand is as fun as watching them try to get the speech to match the thanks. i can see they are trying to say thank you. then theres the ride back. what a way to go to work. priceless..

heres what is better than sex

wind at a sustained 15mph, 2 foot chop with slight whitecap, out of the south west, and im going north west at 80 + side to, in the trough, and the pontoons are just like training wheels on my first bike ride, and the hand grenades are screaming at 7400rpm out the off shore housings, and 26 choppers missing water every 1 thousenth of a second, trying to watch pump pressure, rpm, hold 2 throttles, hold the beer, and watch where im going, and thinking about that hidden boat wake. maybe thats why my friends wont ride with me anymore. that why i wake up with a cheek hangover. priceless...:eyecrazy:

I've been messing w/ engine heigths and ran my best top end so far of 87 mph (gps) yesterday (hottest day of the yr too). I'm beginning to think a pair of labbed Bravos/ cooler day and the boat will run 90+. My origional WOT guess at the beginning of the project was 80-82.......so I'm real pleased w/ the #s so far. It's funny, the boat drives like a BIG Pulsare at speed compared to the I/o 28s i've driven in the past.

Cheers-
