Just voted for Senator _Holland because it is DBomb in DBackround and I am expecting a ride (you listening, Holland ?) if I ever come out to visit.
I'd suggest that others could make a similar request (although it might be considered a bribe but far more honorable than some of the cheapo stuff I've seen atc250 willing to sell his soul for).
Seriously though, beautiful shot . Lot's of other great boats but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
I still can't believe knarloid's Liberty Mates shot in front of Lady Liberty didn't stick it the other month.
What is wrong with you people?:rof:

I'm with you sim, when I first saw the Liberty shot, I thought it was a sure winnah. :(

It was a classic example of great background, great boats (but all the sunbrellas looked wussed out) and evrybody on the boats looked either completely out of sorts or just like a bunch of losers. Depends on your spiritual outlook.
I think we need to take another shot at it. With SamIAm. "Smiles Everyone". Drop the Sunbrella's.

Maybe we ought to try it when its NOT a holiday weekend with 3 foot wakes off of ferries and tour boats all around us? Its tough to look cool when your battling to keep your precious Mate from bashing off your buddy's equally precious Mate.

I agree with you that was the problem. The other problem is that it's ALWAYS like that in New York Harbor.
Staten Island Ferry, Circle Line Cruises (Ellis, Liberty, Harbor Tour and Round Manhattan) , New York Water Taxi, Coast Guard, TSA, Police, Worldcruises and a variety of other private and public ships all run 24/7.
The only traffic that increases on holiday weekends are little private mosquito's like us.
As for me, I'd be delighted if the wakes were limited to a mere 3 feet.
