South Carolina

Got tires but still need to redo the brake system.
Just wondering what kind of boating is down there. I see the icw runs a long ways. Pictures of it show larger boats and lots of places to go but it just seems so narrow from what I'm used to.

Plenty wide for you i run tugs 100 ft long all through there mainly georgetown an such plenty of water an good bars

I'm in Myrtle Beach and out there two to three days a week. Just went from Socastee to Little River Inlet and back yesterday. It gets narrow in "The Ditch" or Pine Island Cut section of the waterway but like was mentioned, I've seen some big barges and dinner cruise boats navigate just fine. Popular destinations around here seem to be Bird Island to the north, The Boat House in Myrtle Beach, and Sandy Island to the south. Are you visiting the area? Me or Mateman can probably answer any questions you have about this section of the waterway. Scott

I'm looking at a property on the icw in Horry co. I'll be down there in a few weeks to see it first hand. Realtor pics are never what things really are.

You going to get this one??

I believe that the area from Socastee to Little River is the longest man made section of the ICW. South of Socastee it starts to open up. The waterway is considered to be fresh water between the swing bridge in NMB to right north of Georgetown if that helps any. Let me know if I can help you.
