Tahoe Boats by Tracker ????

Anyone ever see these Tahoe boats in person? They are produced by Tracker. I was wondering if they are a shotty build or if they are worth looking at. My buddy is in the market and there is a nice one close by.

My dad started looking for a boat in 2007 and found a model Tahoe that he really liked and we found a few places that sold them but didnt have that model he wanted in stock for him to look at . Cableas sells Tahoe . They all told him wait till the Detroit boat show But than again they still did not bring that model . The boats that we did see tho were really nice . He in turn bought a new H22ss four winns in at the 2008 boat show . He really likes it but he said its no checkmate ....

They seam to be well built boats, and look nice and sporty as well. HOWEVER, have your buddy take a look at larson boats as well. I looked at a Tahoe and a Larson side by side at a boat show, and while the tahoe had the slight edge on style, all other points went to the larson. Larson uses a neat VEC molding process that creates a strong and lightweight hull with no wood whatsoever. Furthermore, in the length class we were looking at (18-19 ft) the tahoe was only available in a 3.0 4 banger while the Larson was available with a 4.3 V6. Also, all larson boats are sold with fuel injected motors standard, whereas the Tahoe's are Carb standard. The interior of the Larson was also better done than the Tahoe, fit and finish was great and upholsery materials were better. Finally, at least with the two dealers we spoke with (Larson and Tahoe) the Larson was a few Grand cheaper. I believe the 19' larson was just over 21k with a fuel injected 4.3, just over 19k with a fuel injected 3.0. If i were out to buy a new boat today, it would be a Larson.

EDIT: i do believe the smaller tahoes are available with outboard power, though.

my neighbor has one and its seems to be put together pretty well, granted those boats get me about as excited as seeing a fat girl in spandex. they've only had it two years but they use it all the time, leave it uncovered and its held up well.

Tahoe boats are made by the same people that make tracker, nitro bass boats, Mako offshore & inshore fishing boats, and suntracker pontoon boats. they are owned by the same person that owns Bass pro shops. They have made boats for years and stand behind them. The owner has always said that he make good boat at a great price so everyone can get on the water. I have looked at them and I would buy one if I had the money. I have heard good things about them.

here is a link to their website http://www.tahoe-boats.com/

Yeah he is looking at a used Q4 like the one in the pic. They claim it has a 4.3. I just wanted to make sure it wasnt in the same class as a gayliner.

The 2011 Q4sf and Q4ss does come with a 3.0 liter. some of the bigger boat come with a 4.3 standard and a v8 as an option. I do believe that the used Q4 came with 4.3 and they went to the 3.0 to keep the entery boats cost down.

Gayliner is in a class all by itself. Well, maybe not by itself, Force motors are right their with em'.

By cousin sells boats for Crystal Pierz which was just bought by Tracker/Bass Pro last year. He says the Tahoe offers pretty decent value.

Yup, there nice boats, one of the more popular boats on my lake and they seem to hold up well, anyone I've talked to likes theirs.

A friend of mine bought one about 10 years ago and it was a piece of crap. The local dealer that he bought it from told him that he would buy it back out of kindness. Come to find out, Tracker Marine bought it back along with 15 others from the same dealer! They had alot of problems. I know they have made improvements, but if you look close at the fit and finish, they are in the same company with Bayliner and Galaxy. They look nice and shiney on the outside, but when you start looking in places that most people never take the time to look, the quality speaks for itself. I don't know what price range they are in now, but probably a decent boat for the money. Just have to worry about what kind of book value you will have in 2 years if you have an insurance claim or need to get rid of it quick and still owe alot for it. Just my 2 cents.

ten years is a long time. the entery level boat goes for about 20,000. hi end can cost as much as 58,000. the owner of bass pro has done alot in the years to make his boat as nice as any. the tahoe line is one of the newest in the fleet. I can say they make one of the greatest fishing boats on the market.

I worked with a dealer and still do that sold them new for a few years...seemed to be a ok boat...don't think they had a bunch of issues with them...they have since stopped selling all new boats...
