Transom Saver for Outboards

a 8" long 4 by 4 piece of wood will do the same thing at none of the cost that anti sag device prolly costs. i understand it looks better though

I think we need is Kip or one of the guys from the factory to answer the question whether or not Checkmates could/would benefit from a transom saver. Guys I appreciate all the feedback/debate on transom savers all we need now is Check this to add drama for my fish n mota.:poke:

Transom savers work, if there is bouncing and the motor moves back and forth the ~ lever~ action will put undo stress on the transom and cause unneeded flex/stress , but hey if you don't use one and you have a big mota and a big jack plate on your boat and your money is burning a whole in your pocket, you can let it bounce and ( crack the glass ):shakehead:

then you can call someone like me ( or local glass man ) and shell out 600$-1800$ for a new transom:brickwall:

The key is do what you need to or feel is right to ( protect the life of your rig ):thumb:
