here is a brief discription, but I will get some pictures up tomorrow.

It is a 1978 Checkmate TrimateII. It has been COMPLETELY restored. New floor and floor supports, New interior Wise front bucket captains chairs, custom 62" rear bench seat, custom wrap around bow seat. all seats are dove grey and carpet is just a bit darker. New Teleflex 5pc gauge set (10-80mph speedo, 7500rpm tach, fuel, temp and battery). New Teleflex rotary steering system. New 18gal Moeller gas tank. Has a Evinrude 175, power head has just been refreshed and lower unit was taken in for inspection. New impeller was also installed.

The boat is absolutly beautiful. It is painted a base color of chrysler pure white. Has a stripe that starts at the front point of the boat and gets wider as the boat slopes back and almost covers the entire transom. The stripe is Electron Blue Pearl and is outlined with a metallic silver pinstripe that was applied before the clear. I have all pictures from the restoration and I will post the most recent pics i have of it tomorrow.

If its in good shape the boat alone is worth about $900 then add in the trailer and the motor. That is average retail. Low retail is around $750. But that is for a nearly bare boat start adding in options and equipment and the price goes higher. If you add in some things like power trim, a hydrolic jack plate, dual batteries, trim gauge, etc. Then the price gets higher. Like 1900 to 2200 just for the boat. You can look this up at http://www.nadaguides.com to give you an idea what its worth.

But the real value is in what someone is willing to pay for it.

Personally I would consider it worth less because of how it has been repainted while others would love having a fresh paintjob on their boat and it would be worth more to them.

Well anyway,

it sounds like a nice boat. Lets see some pics.

There are alot of Trimate fans on this site.

Welcome to the board, and another trimate owner no less. I would love to see some pictures of you boat as I am doing the same thing to mine. A good shot of the bow seating would be great.

As far as the value goes. Thats a hard one.
If I had to see mine I would be like you and not have a clue what to ask. I would want to get the money that I sunk into the boat. I would think that starting in the 5-6K area and go down from there. Boats are hard to put a price on. I have see some go for more money that I would have throught they where worth and some that where price very cheep not sell. Very hard market.

I am waiting on the rear upper seat to be completed before the interior is installed. the moulding isn't installed in these pics either.

The site where you have the pictures must not allow them to be linked. Great looking boat. Was that the factory windshield? Mine sits a bit taller. I really like the lower profile.
