Looks pretty nice! I'd prob sell my 2100BR to get into something like this for now.... how would it run w/6.2 in it? 70?

I'm no expert but I doubt that has ever hit the 7 mark from all of my "google" knowledge. My guess is empty of everything and with a bow cover maybe mid 60's.

Anyone else???

I got 73 GPS with the ZT 219 with the 6.2, It's faster than the Eluder, I think it would be high 60's, not too far off

Quite a price drop! That might be a smokin' deal. I wonder about the engine work, I'd need to see what and why. You can drop your 2100BR off at my place on your way to see this boat, I'll baby-sit it for you. Maybe adopt it :rof:

i had a zt230 with a 350 mag/alpha drive. it was a great pkg. ran 60-62 i would think the 6.2 with a bravo would be about 1 or 2 mph faster . the only reason i sold it was i needed more deadrise

I think Craig on here has a newer 230ZT with the 6.2......maybe he will chime in.

The 230 isn't exactly a speed demon, although it is faster than most other 23's out there. There are so many other good things about the ZT 230 not to mention loooks, that it is worth the trade off for only 62 top end.

I've had 2 of these. My current has the 6.2 and best I've had is 62 on GPS with a 25 Rev 4. I thought maybe I could get better and still want to try some other props but I can tell this is about all it's going to do. I tried a 25 Mirage plus which is too much prop a few weeks ago and it ran 60 at 4600rpms.

These are really good boats but are slower than the 219 Persuaders (which is what a ZT 219 is). That being said they are bigger and ride better then the 219s.

I use to have a ZT 230 closed deck with 496HO and it ran 78 on GPS. I can tell you that a ZT 230 handles and drives alot better at low and mid range with the 6.2 vs the big block.

The 6.2 w/3-5 lbs boost could be interesting!

I really like that ZT, too bad I don't know it's "real" condition... hate to sell my extremely clean Pulsare and jump into a POS or be boatless again!

Whipple is the way to go with the 6.2. You are looking at $7K plus installation:irked: (not an installation I would dare attempt unless you went to school for engine building without telling us).

Not that it really matters much, but the 6.2MPI is 320HP not 340HP.

Also, judging by the graphics that boat is a mid 2000's boat. The 6.2 is notorious for running into the high hundreds and over 1000 hours. My point is that I would be interested as to why they changed the heads. To make any significant gain, the MPI would have needed to also be modified (or at least that is what one very well know engine builder that has done work for members of this site told me).

An interesting rig for sure. Go get it BK, you deserve to spend some money!

I'm guessing the owner is figuring 20 hp for the aluminum heads and exhaust he's installed?

If so, that is a bunch of money to spend for 20HP. Also, disasembling the top end of a stock, unmolested, motor for such an insignificant gain does not make much sense to me.

I would think he gained more than 20HP, but still not enough to wrench on a perfectly good motor. Just say'n...

One advantage of pulling off iron heads and intake and exhaust and switching to quality aluminum pieces is you can lose a LOT of weight.

6.2's don't have closed cooling, so you better stay out of the salt!

You "interior" boys need not worry about that though. :thumb:

Josh, I'm close enough (1.5hrs), throw me some gas money and I would be happy to check it out for you.

 Awesome appreciate the offer, but with HotMomma's info below gonna be a no-go

Good info... don't plan on living in SoDak for too much longer. Big fan of getting back to some big water.
