What do you think the 43' would run with stock Merc 525s? 75ish?
Might want to add a couple midgets on a rubber band wheel if it's only getting 525's

I was just thinking about a semi poor man's version of the 43'........dual 525s, Bravo drives (with upgrades), no cabin (P-Run version), standard helm w/ gauges, and basic CM gel paint job.
I still couldn't afford one, even then but just thinking out loud.
..or wait and buy used when it drops about $200K. Like a 6 yr old Chief @ 240.
What's 400K between friends?
You guys have got the entirely wrong approach to this.
Forget the stripped down, all white small motah approach.
No, what you need to do is get it fully, fully equipped, with every bell and whistle imaginable.
Then what you do is you convince your spouse, that you've always wanted to live on the water and this is actually just a performance house boat!

I was thinking I've hiring a painter to paint the house and freshen it up a bit....
He's supposed to be really good I heard....
His name is Mitcher T!

Since 1994 I have been very very much enjoying my boating summers here in NewEngland, and have been blessed with the companionship of mature / intellectual / professional / bright spirited / thong bikini wearing young woman who really like me for who I am ---- a self centered / materialistic / narcissistic / over 50 victim of fate.
As with every year---I can't wait for summer
So the moral of this story is......
There is no moral --- I just wanted to brag![]()
