Delaware river - Sept 22

Just watching that makes my back hurt Spence.

Robbie - From looking at the video the Liner was smoother but if the camera was mounted like that on my boat I may change my opinion. Not having a pad makes them slower but smoother. I have no back problems but mine was a little sore after taking that pounding. However, it wasn't so bad that I couldn't carry on when we decided to turn around for the good of the group as a whole.

made my back and neck hurt watching:poke:

Got there in time to follow everyone blasting down to Philly. The closer we got the choppier it became.

Finally we just called it quits and decided to head back somewhere smoother. It didn't help that we got passed by a screaming loud (sounded great!) 30 foot Hydra like we were standing still. (The Hydra is the one on the right)

I may be prejudice, But I think the Central East Coast members have some of the best Photographers. So here's a tribute to them:
.
This fellow was hard at work with his equipment:

Photographer and Director Sim did a great job:

Chris and Tasha (Droptop) lent a hand:

Spence was in there too!

But the thing that was most interesting was some of the new high tech camera equipment. There was some kind of new tripod thingy. I think it was called the Knarloid. It did a great job with high altitude shots... Note the other camera aficionados in this shot:

You can see I'm not that good at picture taking, there's that fat thumb in the upper left corner again.

Some of the folks on the beach:

WTF Dave? The Enchanter has a big, heavy, cast iron V-8 in the back, it should be better than my eggbeater boat and my back is OK today and you're just a pup.

I had the Enforcer out in some rough water on lake earlier this year and took a good beating. I probably shouldn't been out there to begin with. When they start pulling water thru the dam and the wind picks up, it's a washing machine on steriods. Our lake is shallow for the most part and we get some big azz rollers.:shakehead: Will the liner get on top of the chop and cruise?

It will too a point. These were 2 foot and in some case 3 footers. The tide was going out (i.e. south), the river flows to the south, and the wind was blowing in from south to north so the water was just piling up. I've always found it easier going into the wind be it on my waverunner or the boat so the ride down wasn't too bad, coming back up was a bit harder on the body and the equipment. As others mentioned at the beach that afternoon you needed a long boat to bridge the waves that day. Even something that is noted for its rough water prowess in a 21 foot'ish size like a Superboat, Velocity, or Activator would have easily crushed those waves that day. They seemed to just stand still because of the tide and wind.

I had a great time, even though it gotta a little rough. Looking forward to next Summer.

So when you were stopped and taking pics on the way back Sim, I stood that Starliner of mine straight on end and had to have the back a couple of feet in the air. Any chance you got a pic of that? I had to slow down and check my shorts for debris at that point.

Bob, your photographer roundup was hilarious. Are you suggesting that knarloid has 3 legs?
Too bad Mandy wasn't there for us to ask.:rof:

Here's another shot of the photographers;

We're raised to say that to as many foreigners as possible. :sssh:

People are then less likely to associate us with tripods. :D
