Clean the differential breather and refill with lubricant. Many leaks have been caused by a clogged breather causing high internal pressures which push lubricant past the seals. Cleaning the breather eliminates the cause and the leak goes away.

    Another Aluminum Fuel Tank Story

I realize this is an older thread but thought I'd contribute. I had a new tank made for my 1990 Convincor by Atlantic Coast Welding in NJ. aka speedytanks.com They build certified tanks and they come epoxy coated to prevent crevice oxidation. Here is a link to there recommended install...

Hatch switch needed for 2002 Convincor

    2000 ZT330 Restoration Build Thread

I'm in the process of rebuilding a 1990 251. As you did I also bought sight unseen. Exterior wise looked decent. Upholstery needed to be done. I got video of it running. It's a 454 Mag, rebuilt with upgrades. Had a 251 before and really like the boat, and the price was right. Well, it's been two...

    2000 ZT330 Restoration Build Thread

I see in the first post someone has been grinding away at the bottom but no mention of the problem. Blisters I assume?? And as for your statement and costing more than it's worth, I do the same thing. I'd rather spend cash on something older than pay the $100k plus on something new.

    New trailer for 251

Was thinking to take a look at a Venture as there is a dealer some what close by. They have a Commander series in stock for $4300.

    New trailer for 251

Been looking at Loadmaster, both Ohio and Tampa, Owens and Son's, Charleston Trailers and Manning. Most being in the $5000-$6000 range, Manning not being that much more, would you do it?

    Bobby's Bravo Blues(Worn gimbal ring)

https://photos.app.goo.gl/4HsHftQ3q2EMk5e39 Not sure if that link will work.. They since have been coated boat sides with resin and 1.5oz mat. Also making new bases with 4 legs, 1-1/2" aluminum tube.

    K-planes on 251

Picked up a set of used k planes for the 251. Wondering for those that have done it, where did you mount the pumps? Just looking for ideas.
