  • Hey Coop is it possible to find a ~ Checkmate Tunnel Hull~ ?? I want one of so.. in a bad way..
Coop I got 63 mph at 5,000rpm with the trimate 1/4 throttle left and I eliminated the chine walk--- it was easy ~ I put a whale tail ~ on the motor and the chine went away... ( where can I get a good price on a throttle control box ? Mine went bad ) Greg
    * we had 20 mph wind gusts and white caps on the lake and I didn't risk going over 63 didn't want to beat the boat apart..*
Jeremy went with me - Shane is m.i.a.-
Coop when we last talked on the phone I forgot to ask you
When I make that pad do I have to use wood as the base material or can I scuff trough the gel coat and use something like ( kitty hair- fiber glass type bondo with fibers in it to make the base for the pad and use glass cloth/mat for build up for strength ) I thought if I used a glass filler instead of wood - no potential rot- and a build up of glass material would be stronger. right ?
I told my friend Jeremy about my idea and he thinks it won't bond well and get sucked off at high speeds. ~ I said no it won't~
    What do you think ?
Coop, I got that old 65 hp Evinruide to run ( runs like a champ ) ran it for 30 sec ( have to get it in a water tub ) all I know is that it's a late 60's V-4 don't know how to tell the yr ? think I should ask 650$ or best offer ?? Greg
    Coop,

Can't believe I didn't have you as a friend all this time...Thanks for the request.

Hope all is well, give me a call next time you are in CT.

hey coop... its startin to warm up and im gonna be ready to tear into my enchanter soon.. luckily the core is in awesome shape.. i just gotta refloor it..and repower it!!
Coop did you say you might know who owned that TRV-17 ( 1975 ) I have , it was bought from a guy in Michigan and would love to get the paper work for the boat and the trailer ( would save a headache at the DMV ) ?????? * I will add if the guy that owned it from Michigan would give me the paper work I'd be willing to give him some cash for it, and also he will know I'm going to restore the boat for me to keep* ( Again thanks for the Tri-mate mold I will put them to use soon ;) )
Hey Coop, thanks for the tour and the mold :) I will put it to good use in time.. Did you find the Post to Big Red he was talking about ?? I got back about 430 it's now 535 , I had a great time
I got your message about adding you to my friends list., I added did it work ?? Greg

Hi, someone on this forum said you might be able to help me, I am looking for the oval vents for the blowers that mount to the outside rear of the hull. Checkmate said they don't make them anymore.
    Any help would be great.

    Thanks,
    Howard
