New Pulsare 2100 B/R Interior (Discussion Thread)

Hi Gang,

Kip was kind enough to send over a few new pics of some really nice interior updates the factory has been working on.

Many of you commented that you liked the "old-style" 2100 Pulsare rounded rear bench seat, but that you also liked the integrated speaker and cup holder of the newer design.

Well from what I see, the factory has listened and done it's best incorporate the best from both designs and also, at the same time improve the overall design from an access and functionality perspective.

So going forward, the seat itself will have the rounded type corners and as you will see in the photos. The other items are being moved to a newly designed panel in front of the rear seat, which houses the speaker, cup holder as well as a crash panel and a grab handle. I'm sure you will agree it looks really sharp!

As part of this rear seat redesign, there is now the added benefits of having better access to the gas tank which has been pushed back slightly, this allows for the gas tank to now be removed more easily by just pulling the rear bench seat. There is also better access to the battery area. And finally, a in-floor ski locker has been added utilizing some of the saved space.

Kip tells me that this design will be rolled out to the 1850 B/R's and 2000's B/R's as well.

I hope you enjoy the pics! :)

I think it looks really sharp! :thumb:

I liked the curved seat as well. But this OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!!!!! such a refined and finished appearance in a O/B runabout.A HOME RUN IN MY BOOK.:bounce:

I was wondering how these were going to turn out. I design the plastic to fit the boat then Linda designs the foam and material to go over them. They give me an idea of what they want then I go from there.

Looks like they have more cusion, that is for sure.

I really like the dual cup holders, but that area looks a little out of place...kind of out there on its own.

oh sweeet! Well done! But i really like that double row seating in the boat that's further into the picture slide show. Plus it has a bench seat in the back which takes away some of the need for an open bow. :thumb:

That pic is the 30 footer !!

I know its been a while,But another thing I like has been the elimination of the exposed hinges on the rear seat.On my starflite they were always working themselfs loose and backing out after the first few yrs. 3 yrs ago I went with industrail velcro to hold the seat back in place and love the nice clean look without any troubles at all.:thumb:

The only trouble i see in this new option,:irked: I would have to find a new spot to keep my fenders.I like to slide them up in the gunnel between the side of the rear seat and the side of the boat. Its a nice tight fit and they put throughout the day till needed.

Well...I have mixed emotions. I absolutely love the recessed speaker/cup holder design and would like to incorporate them into my older Pulsare, however, the older Pulsare rounded seat design had a recess in the topdeck mold that was utilized to run a padded perimeter around the top part of the seat back..that has now been deleted. The new seat back/sides butt up against the glass work and loses that "custom" look.

Had'nt noticed that.but you are right..I do the same..Agree !! ;)

Guys, don't forget you're also gaining a floor ski locker that wasn't there before. Couldn't you just toss your boat tampons in there? Might be a better spot come to think of it.

And also, the ability to access the fuel tank without hacking the floor is huge IMO.

Personally, I think this was a well thought out upgrade that is nothing but an overall improvement in appearance and functionality. :thumb:

But that's just my .02 cents. :)

Very nice looking interior. I like how it kinda shelters the speakers for the elements. I have to say there is never enough cup holders even more so when there is kids on the boat. :bigthumb:

These seats are also made from a new plastic that we have started using. It is a downgrade of King Starboard. It will not rot like plywood and it will not break like pro board. It seams to be a very good upgrade from plywood and proboard. (Hey guys your putting me out of business) No more rotten wood.

What do you mean about gaining a floor ski locker that wasn't there before....is there 2 now? Cuz my 2100 has a locker.

I agree with the fuel tank issue, I tried to get them to take mine out of the floor and make it like the 2000 Pulsare, but they didn't like the idea, now they are doing it???HMMMMMMM

I really like where they went with the new design!!! :thumb: I think this was a great compromise of style and functionality!

As for the fenders, you could always make a sort of mounting bracket that will secure them flush with the base of the bench so they are not in the way of anything since most people dont set their feet directly in front of the edge of the bench when sitting.
