1989 Starliner Restoration

Took a break from the boat and started working on the trailer. I've got some pitting on the steps both sides of the fender. I used a flap disk 36 grit to clean those areas and sprayed three coats of primer on them. Sanded the outer part of the frame and added a couple of coats of primer. I'll need to cut the bunks loose and move them in to match the hull. I might use the adjustable brackets to make it easier to fit the hull. The winch and jack is junk, gonna replace them anyway and add new lights as well. I got to look at the bearings and hubs still. Once I'm done stripping the frame down, gonna coat it with hercules bedliner. Here's some pictures.

Progress on the resto has been slow going over the weekend. I had family functions going on all weekend. I did manage to get the new bunks in place, only one has carpet at the moment. The outer bunks are cut off for now. I got a new winch, bow roller, trailer roller(one was cracked), jack stand and new rods for all the rollers. I don't have a welding machine so to modify the trialer to fit the liner I measured the chines. Then I bought 2-2x10x12' using the measurements from the hull I was able to leave the verticle pieces in place and cut the 2x10 to fit the hull. Kind of hard to explain but it worked perfect. I'll take some pictures this morning. Btw I've got jury duty today.:shakehead: I should be at work supporting my habit!!!

How do you know how my ex makes her mashed taters :poke:

You're getting good enough at this boat building stuff that maybe your next project will be making a bow-rider out of that Enforcer :D
Nope....... I know what it is!! I have to say it has a "REAL" motor "IN" not "ON" it ;)

Probably would'nt take much to make a fishing boat out of it. Add a deck in the front with trolling mota. The back would be simple enough as well. The front and back casting deck would sit about 3" below the cap.

Any updates?

Not lately! To much going on with work and family obligations. Probably after Christmas/New year before I can get back working on the boat again. :thumb: I work out of town so I only have the weekends to do anything on the resto, that's why it's slow going.:shakehead:
