" For Sale" 1969 Checkmate v161 Will someone save it from the scrapyard?

I need to get rid of this boat. I've been trying locally for nearly 2 years. The best offer I've received was a joke. I can tear it apart and get more at the scrap yard. The trailer alone is worth more than the offers I've been getting. I do not want to scrap it, mainly because I don't know where to dispose of the fiberglass hull.
I'm in Northeast Ohio.

I'm selling the whole thing off:
1969 Checkmate v161 16" boat. Someone tried installing speakers, did a poor job of it but it could be fixed. Outer hull is in great shape, it floats, no leaks. Plywood needs replaced. Seats are not original, might be salvageable.

1969 Evinrude 40HP motor. It ran last year but needs a tune up. No Ohio title but will make a bill of sale, if required. We never received the title and neither did the previous owner.

1969 steel boat trailer with newer submersible LED lights. It's solid, strong, well built. Minimal rust, if any. Wheels are good, but needs new tires, one has a slow leak and both show age.

I hope this pic thing works.

I'm going to be brutally honest here. If you are really serious about saving this hull, then I would take the motor and controls off and sell them separately. Then offer the hull and trailer for free to someone who has the time and inclination to restore her. If the plywood is soft, and judging by the pictures of your transom, then I'm sure she needs a deck off full restoration. It is very hard to get your money out of a full restoration, so those of us who do it can't afford to spend a lot of money up front. Here is a picture of my MX-16. I have 10k invested doing all the work myself. Having 2 hulls in need of restoration on my property now I would not be interested in taking on another one. But I agree that it would be a shame to see a great old Checkmate hull be destroyed. I hope this is helpful, best of luck to you. Mark

I'm here in Ohio, love to have the boat. But you tell me what you want for it. I don't need the motor, I'd probably sell it.
Boat and trailer is what I would prefer.

X2. Yup, sorry it is not worth anything. Give the hull to Coop and let him restore it. At least you will have the satisfaction that it did not end in the scrap heap. That is where it is heading otherwise.
