I just got a 1987 checkmmoate want to no if anyone knows what model it is or anything about it?don't no how to post on t:bounce:he forms page

LOL! Welcome to the site but its gonna be real hard to say what you have without pics and impossible with the amount of info you've posted.

All Checkmates are good boats. I'm not familiar with that model but your in the right place for much info. Use the search and you might come up with some more info. Theres guys here with that model that will help you.

Look at the Coast Guard rating near the helm below the throttle it should indicate the model. As others have said it looks to be a Senator, as to your particular boat I wouldn't know as I have not seen it.

I have a Senator I have done a restoration on, still a work in progress but far greater then when I started. So far I like the vessel, not great in larger water but it's not made for it. On smooth lake waters it handles well and is quick for a stock boat.

I was checking out your pictures on photo bucket, Your checkmate is a 18' 3" starfire... if it's open bow it's a starlet 18' 3" should be lots of fun come spring

So I found out its a starfire say it on inside of boat duh its says built for Darrell Hoke does anyone no who that is?
It is definatly a Starfire, I probably helped build it. Darrell Hoke was probably the first owner of the boat. A lot of sold boats got a little plaque to help the new owner feel like he was special. Feel free to rip that off of there. They seem like good boats, they build a lot of them, but not enough where you'll bump into another very often.
