" For Sale" 1987 Starliner

Good luck, Sim. Someone will be getting an awesome boat at a great price! I'll keep my eyes and ears open for any potential buyers.

My god, I can't believe this was still available at 6k. Sorry to hear about your troubles. Your boat at the new price is a steal. I said it earlier in this thread, nothing like this available at that price north of the border. Glws.

So come on down - the price is right! :thumb:

If anyone anywhere west of Sim is interested I might (have to double check and make sure he is not bringing anything else with him) know of an empty hitch going from Maryland to Indiana June 27th ish. Sim is a great guy and someone is going to get a great boat for the money!

Hey JW sounds like the boat could be moved closer to you. I'm sure I could get it to Cincy and maybe Jason could move it from Cincy to Columbus when he's heading home from Cumberland one weekend.

He would actually be rolling right thru Columbus on 70. If timing would work out im sure he wouldnt mind dropping it off on his way. I will get a hold of him this morning and see if he is planing on bringing anything west with him or not.

I'd love to but one of the reasons it's been lowered to go now is I've got a medical thing going on that's gonna be keeping me local for a little while and is also gonna need some cash.

Sim, I can sympathize with you..I was in the same situation when I sold my beloved Black/Silver Flake Pulsare 2100. I had to have surgery, was out of work and needed cash to stay afloat for a while..little did I know that a few years later I would own both a 2800 and Starflite!! Get through your health issue..better boats will be on the horizon!! :thumb:

Talked to my brother and he is planing on bringing me a car when he comes so his hitch will not be empty... Sorry if i got anyones hopes up too high. I would still be willing to help get it anywhere that i can to help Sim out!!

Hold on a minute, I am off the computer for one day and the NJ world falls apart.

Hope the Liner is going to someone that will appreciate it. I will give you a call tomorrow night after I get out of work.

I might know who it could be going to, and if he isn't the one then I'm going to razz the heck out of him! Mike?

Wish I was able to get of the house to wave it farewell as it was delivered up Rt287 earlier this evening.

Looking forward to seeing it with the new owner on Lake Hopatcong soon!

Get well soon Sim.

Hopefully hang out on Sunday with my Starliner and the Enforcer.

Thanks Sim!

Thanks Sim for a great boat. I could tell that you hated to see it go. I can't wait to get out on it. My only problem is now I have too many Checkmates (not that that is a bad problem), so now I have to decide what to do with my Enchanter and Starflite. I am hoping that the liner will be "the one" and will fulfill all my boating needs.
Rest assured Sim, your boat went to a Checkmate loving home, and we will take good care of your baby!

By the way, Sim is as funny in person as he is online.

Tom, it was a pleasure meeting you and your lovely wife Eve. I could tell immediately after the first hour we spent schmoozing on the phone that this was exactly the kind of home I wanted to see this great boat go to.
I hope that the two of you receive the same kind of joy and satisfaction from this vessel as I and my family have.
Now,.... What's this about "funny"...You mean "funny lookin'"?
Or was it the crack about Florida Real Estate and Syphilis?

As I was signing over title and then driving away it just felt like I was doing something wrong. Then when I got home I saw the big empty spot next to the Enforcer (which will be SO MUCH easier to back in now).

All I could hear was an unwritten country tune....."There's an empty space in my driveway where my baby used to be"...... (insert sniffle here).
Use it in good health!
