WELCOME ABOARD BOSTONCAN!!

THE SPECTRA IS A GREAT BOAT. IT IS DEEPER THAN MANY OF THE OTHER MODELS THEREBY GIVING YOU MORE FREEBOARD AND SECURITY. THE SPECTRA HAS A FAIRLY DEEP V (I BELIEVE 19 DEGREES) AND RIDES ON A SMALL PAD (ROUGHLY 6") THAT RUNS THE LENGTH OF THE BOTTOM. THEY ARE VERY RESPONSIVE TO TRIM AND WITH YOUR 225 I FEEL YOU SHOULD RUN AT LEAST 65+ MPH. COMPARED TO CHECKMATES OTHER HOT OUTBOARD MODELS OF THE TIME THAT WERE LOW SLEEK LOOKING LAKE ROCKETS (STARFLITES, ENCHANTERS, ETC.) THE SPECTRA LOOKS MORE LIKE A BABY OFFSHORE RACER!!! ENJOY!

Yes , it is suppose to run an honest 70mph with the addition of the porta lift and 25 lazerII double cupped prop.the previous owner added Hynautic steering, has 187 hours on boat and motor.Chris did you get my picture I sent to you to post for me? im hoping that it will handle a moderate chop 2' at least as im on the West Coast of Canada.Only one other checkmate around these parts that I know of. Any other info on this model would be appreciated.
