It looks like they are going with July 25 th ( last saturday in July )....for the the Poker Run. Alot has to do with open dates @ Lyman Harbor plus making it work for as many people or groups of people as they can. So ......what you guys think ? This isn't set in stone but at least they are giving everybody plenty of notice ! We don't go to PIB for run .......so don't see how that would be an issue. But if anybody wants to go out to PIB friday or sunday it will surely be plenty of stuff going on ! Please express how the date works or doesn't for you and your group of people , Kip.

7/25 works for me! Who else? We're up for P.I.B. too, Friday sounds good!

DogSchool, Hows it going? Still thinking about coming up to ST.Clair for jobbienooner the end of june.My work schedule has changed, I'm off that Thurs Fri Sat now.I'm 99% sure it will held on Friday, the 26th I beleive.

I could be a contact, and offer up accommodations for everyone if needed. The earlier you get to the island the better on friday!
But anyway think about it and let me Know. JEFF & SUZI

I put in for Friday off, freeing me up for the whole pokerrun weekend off! If I only had a boat or just a ride even.;)

sounds like a party!

Wassup merc245, I am trying to talk my crew into the jobbienooner,
we just returned from a weekend trip to the smoky mountains with
doublechecker and his wife and were having preliminary discussions
about our summer boating agenda, we checked out the 'nooner website
and the women are concerned that we will be boating into a porn flick lol

doublechecker, drewman and the dogschool here usually travel in a pack
and we will be at the poker run and make room for you and the wife in one
of our boats for the run if you'd like, all our checks are over 25'. As the date
gets closer we'll work out the details, get there early that Friday and
and you can ride over to P.I.B. with us too, it's normally just the wife n I
in my Convincor, but you'll have to hold on tight, I hammer down:D

Thanks for the offer,Dog! With the wife being selfemployed now. That would allow us to make the whole pokerrun weekend once again. No proplem for friday. We'll keep in touch on this one.

About joobie Its not as bad as it looks. As long as you just stay a casual observer.:drool:Sure don't want to part of that show.:rof:The wife went once, that was enough for her.

Besides the party there is alot of fine boating on St.Clair and in around Harrsens Island.LSC is the boating capital of the midwest.I usally only hit the island for few hours and then break away for more on the water activies.

Thanks again,Jeff and Suzi

I have not been to this event before, how small of a boat have people done this run in? we have a persuader 218, has anyone participated with a boat this size or smaller in previous years? what water conditions are usually expected? thanks guys!

Hi there, When and where does all this take place ? Maybe I can get out there with my 76 trimate II and if my buddy has his 77 Trimate II finished he would bring his out too . Let me know

Brownstown, A Will30 ! Well I'm over in the Telegragh & West Rd Area.Welcome Aboard.About the pokerrun looks like its Sat July 25th.Go to the gallery and find the pics of the previous yrs.The run takes place in Sandusky Bay and out into Erie aways. But keep an eye on this thread theres always new info.

Now where do you do your boating at.90% of the time out of Elizabeth Park up and around suger ilsand, cross dike or crystal bay or up into the wyandotte area. the other 10% is up in lake st clair. Jeff & Suzi

Hey guy's, as far as boat size, I tried it in 2007 with a 20' Pulsare. My boat stayed tied up all day! Couldn't even think of making the run. Anything less than a 23' and less that 22degree bottom, hitch a ride with someone else! And my bad ride was way before the 6 footer's started. boatman

Hea guys.....just wantd to pass on a few details , etc about this Poker Run. As some of you know ...we have had a customer appreciation day on friday prior to Sat Poker Run @ factory. This year instead of having that @ shop ....we are having it @ Lyman where run is. We will have a few boats in water for demo's.....prize drawings....clothing people there with clothing & accessories ,and a few other vendors. As for water conditions or boat size .......that is very hard to predict. Generally the bay is 1 to 2 's but can be worse & run goes out in lake and it CAN get very nasty ! But guys with smaller boats can come for friday and stick around for sat and get a ride from someone ,buy a hand , etc. Plenty to do in bay area even if you don't go on run .....sand bar is 1/2 mile from Lyman, Cedar Point right thier , and as posted before Put In Bay-Christmas in July is going on that weekend ! Plenty to do .......i just hope for no rain & not a lot of wind but i'll settle for no rain !

I have a 79 Trimate 4. I would like to make the run, but I think my boat is small. what do you guy think.

aj

this is what you will be running in if you go.

It doesnt look to bad but you have to remember thats a 28' boat coming out of the water. ;)

its the down side of lake erie it could be calm enuf for the small boats but not for the duration of doin the poker run !

I like the Ideal of moving Friday to Bay.Thats why were there to celerbrate the water!:bounce:And it opens up possiblities for smaller boats to come vist and enjoy the area, if not to particapate in the run!

If the water is right, even a controlled ride out to Kellys can be made by smaller boats on Friday if u wish. And or tie in a trip to Cedar Point or a jet express ride to put in bay for the day on saturday!Just some Ideals thrown out there.

I made over to PIB in 30 minutes from the bay(ONCE) :D A 3 hour ride back the next morning!:irked:
