Yup, it's that time of the year, any one interested in trying another Keuka Lake Checkmate Get-together? Right now i'll throw out the date of Saturday June 21, but open to suggestions if that's no good. Last year the rain kinda put a damper on things but it still turned out to be a nice day, maybe this year will be better! Same as before, meet up in the morning, ride around, stop at the bar, raft up, no real set in stone intinary, just play it by ear! So with that said, June 21 tentative date, and any ideas or input are always welcome!

Sounds like fun, we will have to check the calendar out! Was driving down west lake rd last night about 7 pm and saw a white performance boat buzz by. Looked like a 29 formula??? Who was out yesterday? I think it was the only boat on the lake.

The North East is the only part of the country I haven't dragged the starflite to' Love to do up state New York. I'll half ass look into it.

Wish it wasnt so far away! I have wanted to boat that area for a long time as well! but I am strapped on vacation time untill July... and 10 hours each way is a long drive for an afternoon of boating.. :(

I'm in as long as my boat isn't toothpicks by then! Probably get a campsite at the State Park and do a bon fire Saturday night.

That's a pretty cool idea Mike, and yeah if anybody wants to come down for more than just the afternoon, i forgot to mention that you can camp at Keuka State Park!!

I took the following Monday off so I'll be in no hurry to depart on Sunday. Beer, food and fire  Sounds like fun! I hope the Ice is gone by then. Got my rusty pulley issues fixed, Had a local race engine shop skim cut my original. They're nice and smooth now and the belt still sits high in the groove. No more chatter and belt dust! Also had Ron Crawford in Florida do a complete carb rebuild To make that 460 sing. Also added a Wilson 1" tapered carb spacer  If something breaks this year I'm ready, I have another complete outdrive ready to go! Last year sucked when I smoked my lower gear case and was out of the water the "W-H-O-L-E" month of July. Pure torture!!

Just a quick "bump" on the thread to see if we can stir up some more interest! Is Saturday June 21 a good date? It's a couple months away so might as well get it set in stone now! Also, myself and Keith are just about every weekend regulars on Keuka so if any one wants to come down another time just give us a shout!

Hey fellas, I love the idea of a checkmate get together, that was a lot of fun when we did it a few years ago. I have been working on my convincer most of the winter and may or may not have it in the water by next weekend. If anyone is interested the ROPA battleship run on Seneca lake is July 18-20. I am looking for a few more checkmates to join me there for an awesome "poker run" weekend.

Oh God its killin me but I think the boat will ALMOST be ready then, I start vacation on the 21st and will be putting on the finishing touches, probably can hit the water by the 23rd, soo close, gonna try to get down there sometime later in the summer though!:D

Ok guy's, what time is everyone thinking to meet up on Saturday?? I would say maybe around 11AM out around the Bluff Point? Right now the weather forecast is looking real nice for Saturday, partly sunny with only a 10% chance of precip. and mid 70's, so i think we are good to go this year!! Hope as many 'Mates as possible can show up this Saturday!!
