220 checkmate convincor -reviews??

Thanks Big Brew-I am supposed to try and meet with him this week. I will keep you posted on how it goes-Seems like a straight shooter had a nice chat with him. I noticed the cart looked sweet

Awesome if all works out we may be boating at Sacandaga and run into one another. I used to go there all the time when I had my outlaw nice lake...

My feeling is that I'd rather drive 14 hours one way to get the "right" boat that meets my expectations rather than settling for a boat that is "good enough" that is only four hours away.

This boat for example: http://sandusky.craigslist.org/boa/4334604036.html

I like it a lot: Great graphics, solid windscreen, maybe offshore controls, C-Hawk trailer

However is it fuel injected, how many hours, rather have a 502.

I think the price tag of $25,500 is a little unreasonable and a firm price of $20k is more in line.

I keep drooling over this boat....

Have talked to them, all original as far as they know. Can work a little $$$, but not to 20K. :/

Outdrives gotta need some work before they are 15 yrs old tho, eh?

Yeah that is too much -20K would be a good /fair deal for the boat and yes the drive will be needeing some love soon if it has not already been done. But I am with you on the looks that is a VERY sweet boat.

That's about 3 hours north of me. If you buy it you better swing through Cincy for a beer.

I know that some are just freaks of nature but the Bravo on the back of my uncles American Offshore is original from 1995 with about 700 hours on it and around 500hp in front of it... Now with that said we have been saying for years that the boat is blown up and it just dont know it yet!

Yeah... prob not going that route.

Boat looks awesome, but the "all factory original" insistence gives me a sinking feeling for some reason.

That and the lack of negotiating off a very high asking price.

I will keep that in mind. I always like the 253 little wider than the 251.
For the money those 220's seem to go for, you could be into a nice 253. It all depends if you want something that big. Generally they will go anywhere a 220 can and is a size that is still easily trailerable yet it can cut some good sized choppy waters. Cabin size on them is also very large and all usable compared to most other 25's. A 242 would also fit into that budget and is sized between the two.

It all depends on what you are looking for.

I agree these damn 220 are high priced. I really like trhe size for my needs trailering day boat. I would really love a 242 but not very many around from my searching. Love the 253 they are sweet lots of room BIG cabin .. So many choice so little boats -hahahahahah I will keep on looking and hope to find the right boat before the season kicks in..

It is worth traveling for a good one.

I seen that one -emailed back and forth a bit -was 18500 now 17000. He is in Michigan. He originally said it need to be sold in 3 days that was 10 days ago- I may need to reachout to him again see what happened. Thanks for the post. It ios a nice boat minus the pink ..

Only real men can rock the pink....just sayin!

I will call it Magenta.. Sounds more manly
I say the same thing about my 253....It is Teal, Yellow, and Magenta. (really is too dark to be called "pink" though.
