220 checkmate convincor -reviews??

Not yet- I should be finalizing the deal in 1.5 - 2 weeks it is still in storage.
It is nice though purple and black checkmate flag graphics. I will try and gets pics on here if I can figure out how to do it..

Create a photobucket was the easiest way ive found. im just having trouble loading videos to it.

I did not realize it was a 4 blade.. I am sure it would be faster with a 3 blade but that 4 blade will handle better-Looks like it runs real good with that prop nice lift and looks pretty damn fast I was impresssed

This video really gets me excited to test out the new ride. I have a friend that has the same boat / same year with a 454 MPI non mag. I am really curious to see how close they run 300 HP vs 310 HP less weight- I will report back with full no BS details on how it goes. I can also tweak it a bit lab the prop and have the motor tuned I have a local guy that has the software but that is if he is pulling too far too fast away from me ..LOL

yeah I've been told that. My boat handles great, wonder how much I would gain to switch to a 3 blade and what pitch? what would I lose handling wise?

I spoke with a guy about a newer tune but it was something like 300$ for 15hp didn't seem worth it to me. i just put plugs, wires, cap and rotor this year, the old ones were 3 years old. So that may help as well.

Tune 1 mph prop poss 2 mph total 2-3
Honestly may not be worth it.
I tuned my truck aond it made a HUGE diff but that was changing the tranny settings and delete of the 4 cyl mode. Marine is a diff game 15 HP is not great for $300
I may be able to get it done for less locally will keep ya posted if I do.. My guess is 3 blade 23 P???? will not handle as well as that 4 blade

That,s what I was thinking as well. It runs very well for me now. I'm not usually the type to leave something alone but in this case I think I am. 3 mph for a 300$ tune and most likely at least 700$ prop. Let me know if you decide to go that route and it works well that my sway me to change my mind. :poke:

RGP- I will def keep you posted. Need some nice weather and get the lackes cleared up - Prob 2nd week of May will try it out. Looking forward to a great season ahead been a lonmg hard cold winter her in NYS

I bet with a little less weight in the back you get less porpoising. I could go faster if I could keep the porpoise down.

I was right at 63 with a full load. I havnt been out once by myself.

I agree on the less weight theory. I will keep you posted also on the ride quality and how it performs against the big block same boat same year.
