same powerplant going back in or are you upgrading, hey when i used msd setup on my cm they recommended i used a plate with rubber bushings to bolt it down to keep vibrations down supposed to make em last longer just my two cents
btw looking good i wish i would have hit my winter projects harder so far

Thanks... I know the marine MSD units have fully potted electronics I'm guessing mainly for water resistance, but I also figured it was for vibes as well?? Both of mine are mounted to the transom, but I could see where that wouldn't be a bad idea.:thumb:

The same block is going back in it for sure....but, I'll let Jason freshen it up a little bit while its out.:D

I was over at Checkmate last thursday, but was in the back at Sacentti Marine talking to Adam. If I had more time, I would have stopped in and said hello to Kip and the gang.. guess I'll have to do that next week when I head back over to Kunkels with more parts.:sssh:

After that, I went over to see what Jason was up to and see how the boat is looking. So far, so good. Motor looks great as well- actually incredible in the bottom end. Its getting new upper end components along with aluminum heads.

Here is some shots of the indicator cables and more of the transom.

Looking good! I was there last Thursday also... picking up my boat. Do they rent out some space to Sacentti?
Yeah, Sacentti is in the back as you head around the plant from the south gate. I think that Adam has two bays... large red doors. He has a some boats outside and a few inside. Its kinda a cool little shop back there. I liked that Cig Mistress he has sitting outside..

XT Innovations has a spot somwhere at the plant as well. I haven't stopped in yet to see whats up.

There was a problem with stainless marine's colors on thier indicators. It was more of a rasberry than red..even worse than it sounds when you see it in person. They are aware of the problem (now), and the whole last batch of red the anodizer did turned out rasberry. It was going to be a while untill they had more, so I talked to Jason and figured that black fingers would look good. He got a bare polished base, but me being pickey wanted to make it red- so off the the anodizer it went. Turned out sweet!!!!!!

There isn't room on the dash of conventional indicators... also, I really like the heads up version for the ease of reference without having to take your eyes very far off the water.

Jason started mocking up the engine.. it's gonna fit, but room is tight infront.

Nice looking job Nick!! Where are you going to get your water supply for the intercooler? I'm sure you're not going to put a big ole' hole like I did!?! Are you going to split the system or have you got a trick up you sleeve?

We are using the seawater pump to supply the intercooler... I was talking to him about why some guys run seperate pickups for intercoolers and I guess it can cause some idle issues with water circulating thru it all the time in early spring or late fall when the water is very cold. I'm guessing thats possibly more of an efi thing, due to the intake air temp sensor?
