Hey Merc, i bet Nick would give you a ride for free! You better drink both cases of beer before you ride with him!!!!!! LOL

He got one serious set up there! The least I can do is buy him a dinner. Hope to see that boat on erie doing some island hopping! (thats what it was made for)

Yep, Jason builds some nasty stuff. If you buy Nick dinner........he may expect something more!! LOL

I'd like to get to Erie this year.. my sched is horrible with the shift I'm working, so I don't know how it'll work out... I get a 3 day weekend every other week, but it doesn't start untill I get off shift Sat morning- then gotta be back Tue night. So it's looking like Sat late-afternoon is about the earliest I can be anywhere.

this thing is going to be a rocket:poke::drool:
It should run decent. It has the 5psi pulley on it to start with. I told Jason thats a bunch of crap.. get me the 7psi one! He wants me to run it this way a little while first then said we can always make it faster.

earlier today i was reading up on the does and don'ts of using a procharger:sssh: it was interesteing that some people are running 14plus psi on a 8.0-9.0 compresion motor, and running 7 and under on motors 9.0 compresion and up. they were talking about how important it is to run a inercooler for the higher compresion motors due to the heat produced. it was cool to read about the options that are out there! they also had a chart that showed the hp gains on there systems with each hp motor.....let me see if i can dig it up

here is the link....kinda cool. http://www.procharger.com/M_engine.shtml

I like that battery tray!! :poke:
That way I can easily remove it for weight savings when Ross and I race.. leave it sitting on the dock after I fire the motor up;)

Actually, I have a pair of these that I need to get powder coated... might get fancy and do the base in red and the tops in black, or somthing like that. Should look good, but I'm not sure how they will look with the bluetops? One will be mounted on each side at the front of the bilge to try and keep weight forward in the boat and centered. The amps should offset the added weight of the charger, since they'll be infront of the helm.

Do you want me to fab something up for ya to hold your pillow?[/QUOTE]
:rof:

You can spray the blue top what ever color you want!

For about the same price you could have the jet hot coated. Then they would look polished to match your procharger and piping.
Might not be a bad idea... who does that around here?

I have to get the platform re-powdered and figured on doing the trays at the same time, but it would look better with a polished apperance, imo.

Agree on matching the piping.

As for the pillow, he might have worn it out by now. I think last I heard he had duck tape and some Popsicle sticks holding it up!

I've looked around for a Jet-Hot dealer... and read about em. Not going that route.. powder it is.

I'm headin over to Kunkels on Monday to pick up the platform and run it to Extreme Marine in Twinsburg, OH for re-powdercoat. I'll drop off the battery trays at Kunkels and have Jason use his local guy to powder them, since they are bare steel and don't need to be stripped.

So, today I drove over to Bucyrus and stopped in to see Adam Shook in the back of the Checkmate factory. He's staying busy and was loading the truck to go and do some stereo work on a 47ft? boat up by Cleveland. There is an old straight bottom Top Gun sitting there minus power and drives for sale- but what I was eyeballing was an old 35 Cigarette Mistress.. love them old school hulls. Checkmate is also staying busy from what I've heard. I only stayed a couple of minutes because I had to go to Twinsburg to get the swim platform.

The platform turned out great- looks brand new. I didn't put any grip tape on it this time.. figure its going to be cheap entertainment when my gf busts her ass on it.:D I like the way it looks alot better without the tape, but might end up having to do somthing if its too slick.

I dropped off the platform at Kunkels and spent some time bsing with Jason, Harold, and Frank. Those guys are staying busy with getting boats ready for the spring and repairs. Jason was asking how soon I wanted the 24- like for Memorial Day. I said I'm not in any hurry and have to work that weekend, so don't rush it at all. Its looking good...
