24 Super: winter update

You get this thing wet yet?? I cant wait to see some pics and see speed numbers.

Second run done.

Jason has the motor dialed in with a very conservative/safe tune.. let his dad drive it.

Any guesses as to what Harold was able to get out of her?

I would put my monies on 44 to 46 mph. With that motor and outdrive set up, maybe just maybe you will hit 50 on a good day with flat water and a tail wind.

Come on......we have been watching this build up for months. I dont know about anyone else, but I cant wait to see the pics and the numbers of the finished boat.

Alright, no more bull- 92mph.

This is with a stock non-coned bravo drive. Jason says thats about all the stock non-coned drive is good for... spinning a 32P bravo 5200rpm. With a cone, it probably would have spun the prop fine.

I do like the low-mid 70s cruising speeds!!!!:D

A whole lot more than you will be able to get, :bigthumb: I do belive his balls are bigger :rof:

Well, I ran a little shakedown run of my own..

It ran just a fuzz over 88gps in a light wind chop and was rock steady/ very easy to drive. Against the rev limiter hard with the 5600 chip turning an old solid hub 29Mirage (about 13% slip). Thats about the opposite of what Kunkels experienced with the Bravo and modified tempest they ran. This hull loves the mirage prop, but I'm going to have to spring for a 29Mirage+ and have it worked up in pitch. Also, after talking to Jason, I am going to raise the rev limiter.

The bad- I had a rocker loosen up- nothing hurt. Took it back over and Jason checked everything out. Can't wait to run it with a bigger wheel and more revs!

Wow

Very nice, That's really moving, Is that with 5psi boost? If you get the prop right and get over 90 are you going to be happy or are you likely to raise the boost and keep pushing? If you had a little over 90 and could keep the boost down to help ensure reliability that would be pertty nice I would think.
