300 convincor on Cmate FB page

I like the looks of the boat especally with the faring. Would love to see a twin engine verson.
there was a twin 6.2 made back when Doug took over. it was the green multi color (painted) boat originally sold at diamond marine in Conn. and then changed hands a couple of times i think its in NY at the moment.

no forward bulkhead on this new 30 con? i guess its rigid enough w/o one . the boat looks much better overall in these pics and im sure in person its amazing looking . congrats to Checkmate on a great looking boat with the power to back it up. bring on the engine shots..

I really like this boat and power package. single BB is the way to go in my book. so much easier to work on. lets see some pics of it. like kip said its whatever the customer wants.

two things I wouldn't opt for: the scoop and head rests. is the scoop really necessary for this engine? I'm just not a fan of the totally useless sun pad

I agree with Sip, I'd much rather have a useable mattress than a scoop. Atleast the scoop is tastefull looking. The headrest could serve as nice backrest for the pad though.

Colors fit right in out West. Not really our Midwestern or Eastern taste. Installing that engine/drive combo had to be a fun build for Checkmate.

Suppose they drew straws over who got the first test drive??

after looking at this boat a few times today i just really noticed that there is no swim platform i guess that explains the air scoop and small sun pad. this lucky person just wants to haul ass..

Those pics were probably from before it was installed. It's on in the running shots from the first page.

thanks i see it now. i have been drooling all day at this boat. there should be a scratch and sniff with new fiberglass resin scent somewhere on this forum along with motor sounds.

I'm still not crazy about the color choices but that can easily be changed with a check made out to Checkmate. But WOW, what a sharp boat! I really like the upgrades to the interior and cabin.

What does a Merc 700SCI and NXT drive package cost? I still think a single high hp IO is the way to go in this model.

Wow, considering you went the twin O/B route, that statement speaks volumes. The price tag is likely well north of the twin O/B route though.

I agree with single I/O on the -30 Checkmates unless you are running open ocean. Things can get ugly fast in the ocean even just a few miles out. Having a second motor, should one go down, is great peace of mind IMO.

SCT"s boat was and still is one of my favorite Checkmates. I noticed it for sale @ seely wright over the summer and now its gone . i thought the price was more than fair and i thought about it for a while but my better half needs a molded in swim platforum so for now im stayin put .

They had to do a scoop as the engine did not fit.

Having drove a single I/O and owning a twin I/O 300 (283)..... I would only go twins in the future.

I like the graphics, one of my favorite of the new options :)

$66,000 and change. I would like to set my 300 up similar to this when I have the money. I wonder how much more the 850SCI is. I can't find it advertised anywhere on the net....
