30ft Convincor, twin 300XS outboards

Wildman,

I noticed the rigging travels over the bracket and thru the upper portion of the transom.

Have you ever rigged or seen someone put the rigging thru the bracket and transom? Any good reason not to to do it that way?

I've seen pics of one done; it would really clean things up especially if you had a integral swim platform. thanks

Hick

The hyd. steering hoses can be run through the bracket, but the cable hose is too big. You would'nt wanna run a 3" hole through the transom under the waterline.

Wow nice look another option would be 3 bolsters and leave the fourth out for cockpit entertaining. Nice job Checkmate. My only question is what is the true length 28 or 30. Hull only not swim platform

The hull is 28 foot. The boat is advertised as a 30 including the swim platform. I think it is just a matter of time until you see Checkmate revive the 30' hull with outboards on the back(3 of them). boatman

Yep its a 28 hull. As far as the old 30 hull with triples, well...........I ain't allowed to say.

Thanks for the reply. I may contact you when I get ready to install my extension. If thats okay w/ you?

Yup, call anytime. I saw at the Miami boat show that Stainless Marine makes a big bracket with the fittings already installed.

I saw this boat on boattrader.com from a CM (fomer?) dealer on the east coast. It looks pretty cool w/ the OS280s. I wonder what it runs....

SCT, I think I saw that one for sale from them without motors a while back. I guess they decided to rig it and attempt to sell it complete. Funny how you built your boat and then all of these appeared. You started something.
