Selling my 1996 253. Powered by a 454 mag Bravo 1 with 338 hours. Boat comes with full cover, snap in cockpit cover, snap in carpet, drop bolsters,split throttle/shifter. drive trim on steering wheel, tabs with new indicators (still acts a little funny at times may need new wires), Garmin 168 GPS, two batteries with switch,porta pottie, & am/fm cd player with 4 speakers. cabin is all original and is in great shape. cockpit is also all originaland in very good shape. One flaw is the the piping on the back bench where it meets the hatch is pulling off and I have not gottne that fixed (I can send pics upon request) Gel in in good shape top deck gets a little oxidaton but comes up with a coat of polish ( if the full cover in kept on it will last all summer). I bought the boat December of '09 and ran it last Summer. I LOVE this boat but my time and money are becoming more limited with two sons (16 & 10) I have to pay some bills and save for college.

253 Sale

I had a '93 253 Convincor two boats ago...miss it! Your price sounds darn good!
Now own a '99 Mariah 212 Shabah-Z bowrider with 5.7 Mercruiser, 288 orig. hrs.
It would be great to trade? Any friends interested? Anyone need a 2nd boat?

Thanks guys, No worries on selling. I had a boat sold it took some time off did a lot of mountain biking then bought the 253. It won't be the last boat (or Checkmate) I own for sure. Just taking some time off. I think I will try to do triathalons for a while...

Someone come and buy my boat. Make me a reasonable offer and its yours. :cheers:

Nice to chat with you Randy, Looks like by this time next week the boat should be in its new home. If it does not work out I will let you know. Thaks for th interest in my boat. Like I told you on the phone I love the boat and would recommend a 253 to anyone. I was talking with a friend with a 26 Sonic yesterday who has spent time riding in my boat and he loves it. He was down on Checkmate until he got a ride. :devil:

you have to sift through the horse and family stuff but there are some more vids of my Checkmate and some friends boats. Make sure to watch the "Ebbtide Fly By" video. That was a fun 21' BR I had with a 5.8L Fuel injected Ford with a Volvo DP drive. hopping overt some wakes...
 
SOLD!!! The boat went to a GREAT home on the Upper Chesapeake Bay. I will be able to get visitation and rides on it... Now I will pay down some bills and save for a 21 'mate with a big 'ol egg beater on it :bigthumb: After owning my boat I know now why so many here on the forum own multiple Checkmate's, they are a great boat!
 
Holy Crap, sounds like somebody got a nice baot if they got that for anywhere near 15k.

Congrats on the sale Sox and hope you get back into a Checkmate soon.

Never got a chance to meet up with Sox, maybe I'll meet you eazye. I'm in Abingdon and we will probably boating in the same places.:cheers:
