Besides CHECKMATE,What would be your boat of choice?

a brand new heesen would fit my ultimate dreamyacht including helideck and jacuzzi in the corner cruising over the med to italy...
i geuss that will remain to me as a dreamboat for the rest of my life..

heesen

for rest a sunseeker i geuss for retirement...

I've been reading through all these boats - but not one of you has mentioned Bayliner or their sport boat equal - Baja. What gives?

You're too funny Chris E! Buddy of mine visited Baja last week. Baja boats are barely being made right now. The factory is actually making boats for some of the other corporate brands right now, Polaris being one.
I think the poor quality reputation with Baja boats is getting so wide-spread on the offshore forums (Offshore Only, SpeedWake, Hot Boat, etc.) that it's finally killing the sales of Baja. They're only hurting themselves by building chopper gun hulls!

Keep up the good work Checkmate!!!!!!!!!

I myself am a fan of the older boats. I like the low slung speed boat type. an old school tahiti would be nice, plush seats, twice pipes, and a bright ass paint job. just enough room in those for me and my three ladie friends.

Can't think of not owning a Checkmate , but maybe a Cougar , Eliminator , or maybe a flat bottom .

so it's a matter of time till they drop out of the market?

Helmich:

Not to worry, Bahahaha is owned by Sea Ray - They're not going anywhere yet. They do have an agreement with Polaris to build their oversized PWC's.

REDBOAT, NOW THERE IS ONE THAT I FORGOT TO MENTION IN MY EARLIER POST; A COUGAR MTR WITH A 300 PROMAX, NOW THAT WOULD BE ONE CLASSY RIG!!

Ive already got my dreamboat in my 42 Tiger...

But if I could have another it would have to be a 36 Nor-tech cat with twin 1000's

I had a chance to drive one in the Keys this winter at 126mph and it was awsome and the boat had about 20 mph left in her !!!!

THE ORIGINAL STEVE STEPP VELOCITY LINE ARE GREAT BOATS. THE LARGE RAISED PAD WITH THE VARIABLE DEGREE DEADRISE HULL AND NOTCHED TRANSOM MADE THEM SLIPPERY FAST AND A BALL TO DRIVE. NOT FOR THE FAINT AT HEARTED. TO THIS VERY DAY THEY CAN KEEP UP WITH THE STEP HULLS WITHOUT THE HANDLING PROBLEMS THAT THE STEP HULLS HAVE.
